Hello there, My name is Tyler Gray. I'm currently lucky enough to be enrolled in the Welding Technologies program at F.M.T.C for the 2015-2016 school year ..Now i know what you're thinking why do we care, right? I Like you was looking to revamp my knowledge on life and learn skills in a trade that I've come to fall in love with, so i gave it a shot. Let me tell you it is absolutely phenomenal, hot , sweaty , dirty, hard work. I"m one of fourteen students that get to learn from both instructors this year. Under MR.Mike Remy''s thirty four years of experience and a love of molding young minds to pursue a career in a field they love with proper safety and use of tools and equipment, to help them learn, hone and work to even perfect they're welding skills. Then of course there is Mr. Michael Landrum the new guy on block, yeah right. He was made to teach welding with his passion for the trade, attention to detail, and making sure he ensues on us a patience that can only be taught, and of course safety.safety, safety right. So if you are interested in reaching new heights, making a new life like i am for my daughter or just want to keep pursuing new things, than not only would i recommend the welding program, I would definitely recommend F.M.T.C to go and learn and succeed in any of the many trades they offer. Trust me you will not be...
Read moreI went there for about a year, the first red flag to me was that this school didn’t even know who was supposed to be in what class the first day, then when you enroll and pay your tuition they charge you 1,000 for brand new tools and out of a class of 22 I was the only person out of all the students that were in AST to get dirty and old used tools that they charged me for, the instructors pick favorites along with the fact that I felt very forgotten about because of negligence by the staff. It was probably my worst experience out of any school I’ve been to along with the fact that they are so hard on attendance but you just sit around and look at a wall all day they don’t provide any work for the class all of our lifts were usually taken by the favorites who have been working on their project cars for months and months on end and when you ask the instructor for a lift for an oil change they look at you and walk...
Read moreGiving a rating of 5 stars because the school itself is absolutely lovely. I went for the CNA program and hope to return for my LPN and eventually RN. Mrs. Jessica (the LPN teacher) is an absolute angel, and Mrs. Redenious who runs the nursing programs, who has been with the school for years are absolutely some of the most kind hearted and caring people I have ever met. However, Ms. Anderson, the CNA teacher is borderline mentally abusive. It was like being back in high school. I was made fun of for the entirety of my program, and I saw her do horrible things to other students as well. I wish the best of luck to all those to take her class. May the odds be ever in your favor. She doesn’t teach much, either. Just scrolls through some stuff and then leaves you to your own devices for the...
