At Ringgold, GA Costco. I will not renew my membership when the day arrives! We live an hour from Costco and needed new tires. They had what we wanted and made an appointment. Called two hours prior to appointment for Saturday and manager “Jose” said they had it. Drove an hour and they didn’t not have the tires. The supervisor Tivian who was helping when I arrived said they were probably sold He tried upselling me other tires. I said no, and ordered the tires I wanted and paid for them. Supervisor “Tivian” said it would most likely arrive next Thursday. I called Thursday and tires had not arrived yet. On Friday, spoke with “Tiffany” said something happened to the truck broke down so the tires did not arrive. On top of that, “Tiffany” said the tires were sold under her login and it wasn’t her who sold them to me. She said the those tires he sold me were discontinued tires! She wasn’t sure why because they had the newer tires in stock since the week prior in which I could have had those tires and not wasted my 2 hours round trip-time, gas and money!!! So Tiffany made an appointment for the next day to install these tires same tires they had in stock. When I arrived for appointment, I had to pay additional $12. I asked if he could not charge me since I made a trip last week for nothing and didn’t offer me the exact tires that were not discontinued. Of course I had to deal with the same stupid supervisor “Tivian” on Saturday (Feb, 17th), who was working with me again! I asked to speak to his manager and of course the manager “Jose” was out of town for a week! I also told the supervisor that he rung me up the discontented tires last week under Tiffany and instead of his log in. He said it didn’t matter. I said of course, if you screwed up, Tiffany would be blamed or they would not know who to blame for your screw up. I almost asked for a refund but needed tires now! I should have gone to Good Year!
While waiting on the tires to be mounted, I did a little shopping. Found Mozzarella thick sliced two pack was $3 more than the same cheese BOGO at Publix. I was at Publix an hour prior to going to Costco. I gassed up at Costco and found the gas price was the same as by my home!
I also didn’t find some things that I normally buy. It’s like hit or miss shopping at Costco. The lines were ridiculous like Christmas line shopping. I will not renew my membership when the day arrives! Not worth my time or savings and poor communication/customer service! Very...
Read moreA great place to shop with very reasonable prices. They appear to be doing an excellent job in handling all of the safety features of the current pandemic including wearing masks in sanitizing the shopping carts. Cashiers also wore masks and we're behind protective screens. As usual the gas prices were about the lowest in town although for some reason the price was not posted anywhere that I could see until I got to the pumps. As far as checkout is concerned Costco beats Sam's hands down. The checkout lines at Costco are rarely long whereas at Sam's they are frequently very long. February 6th 2024 update. The same Costco a pleasure to deal with. Personnel are very friendly and eager to help and the checkout lines are always reasonable regardless of the quantity of shoppers. I think their meat quality is the best in this area. February 19th 2024 update: an automobile battery purchased under warranty failed to hold a charge. We arrived to make the exchange and we were told that their personnel would not assist in removing the battery or even loan us a wrench so we could do it on our own. My wife and I are both in our low 80s . We were told that the only way they could handle the situation was to sell us the new battery and that we were to go home remove the old battery install the new battery and come back and get a refund for the purchase price of the battery a 75 Mi round trip times two. That made no sense at all. I was told that they would not allow us to use their wrench because people kept stealing them. I was told by one of the mechanics that there are wrenches in the store for sale and was instructed to go buy them. This is very poor customer relations and for that reason I'm downgrading my rating from five stars to 3. Costco needs to change their policy on situations...
Read moreI am a non-member and used a Costco gift card at this location and after the experience I think I might just throw it away and not use the rest of it. The employees were extremely rude when we we tried using the self checkout and told us we had to go to a regular register and weren't allowed to use self checkout. They acted like it would be a huge hassle to override the system since we weren't members and generally treated us like we were inconveniencing them somehow. We waited for a supervisor to come to the checkout and override it and lo and behold, it took her literally three seconds. On top of that, when we were trying to use the self checkout we were told that we couldn't used a gift card to buy alcohol and they told us to go put the alcohol back. So instead of them just taking it from us there, we had to walk all the way across the store and back. When we got home I checked the terms and conditions and there is no such rule, so unless this is a policy at this specific location only, the cashier just lied to us. Not sure what she got out of that but ok. The point of the allowing non-members to use gift cards is to get them to try it out and buy a membership and they are failing miserably . If this is how they treat customers there is no way I'll ever be getting a membership at this Costco. I'll skip the rude employees and go to Sam's club. If you're considering buying a gift card for a non-member I would suggest going to a different Costco, or better yet, keep your money and don't waste it here. I hope someone in management sees this review and tries to fix your cashiers attitudes because you're losing...
