Because I lost my home for a few months and finally got back on my feet and had to make a tough choice to put my 12 yo cat to sleep or lose her on the streets or a shelter put her down because she was aggressive due to her breed. Now I'm judged and the owner tells me that I'm unfit and suggested that it was concerning that I had to put her to sleep even tho I was honest and have proof of my reasons and people they can call. Ur rehab is full because u deny so many people. Maybe don't discriminate against others and understand people's situations more and u will find homes for ur cats. I am disabled and can't drive, she says it's concerning I can't drive myself to them. I have seizures and it's against the law to drive with seizures. Do y'all not understand that seizures are serious and driving with them is against the law! Appeartly not and the fact I'm looking for a cat to help me with my seizures and u judge me. U will not find homes for ur cats doing what u just did. Have heard many stories that y'all were denying people I refused to believe it and now I believe it. It's sad, but ur telling someone who works for one of the biggest companies in the world that I'm not fit, plus I own my own business as well I'm boss and manager. How on earth am I unfit when I make money and have a home and u judge because I can't drive to u, no one is required to have a vehicle to adopt a pet, those cats r not humans. No offense but adopting a child u are required to have a car ya, these r pets and a vehicle isn't necessary. A home and stable job is yes but not a car. but I have transportation Thur family and friends no issue. My cat was elder and lived a long amazing life too, my vets office vouched for me and knew my reason I had to have her put to sleep. I was not gonna give my cat to a shelter that was gonna put her to sleep. I'm not gonna be that petty pet parent that gives up my pet just because I lost my home. No she was older and I wasent gonna lose my child my cat my friend. I had her cremated which costed me 500 so I could take her with me forever and when I die have her buried with me. And apparently Jen's kitty rehab don't understand that and thinks I'm unfit. I work for once again one of the biggest companies in the world, my pay grade and life is way above yours Jen. Good luck on adoptions! Ur business will fail by the middle of 2024. Ur ratings r low ur getting less and less donations. Ur losing more numbers and ur...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm really thankful for the work that Jenn's Kitty Rehab does. We live in an urban part of town where the feral cat population was completely out of hand. One of JKR's volunteers - a friend of ours - was humanely trapping the cats and having them neutered/spayed and released back to help prevent/control the overpopulation of feral cats - and did this dozens of times. They are also fostering hundreds of cats and facilitating adoptions. That is HARD and time-consuming work - work that not many people would give up their free time to do - but these folks are busting it to do something about a challenging situation that would otherwise neglect a suffering animal population, burden our city, and deprive animals of compassion and care they deserve. They are the ones who care and who "do something about it." I've personally brought my own two kitty boys there for treatment and checkups and I was so pleased with their professionalism and knowledge. They're also very affordable to boot. I applaud them! Keep up the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have fostered for most of the local rescues and I am so thankful for JKR! We have been able to co-foster kittens when one of us had a nursing mother cat and the other had orphaned kittens, or one had a failure to thrive kitten that needed to be pulled from a litter and bottle/tube fed. They REALLY have a heart for the cats and kittens they nurture! I donāt think people understand how much money comes out of their own pockets for food, formula, bedding & vet care. Itās so easy to get attached and we love all the babies we serve, so itās especially hard to lose one. It can be heartbreaking! But we canāt give up during those times because there will always be others that need our help! Please spay and neuter your pets at your vetās office or one of the low cost spay clinics. Itās so sad to see all the unwanted and uncared for animals. And if you can help with donations, fostering, transport, or the TNR programs, please fill out an application with a local rescue! All kitties deserve a safe & loving...
