This is my experience: Company called saying they are doing advertising at a specific golf course. We already do a lot of business in this area, so I thought, "hey, why not. Seems affordable." A couple days later they called up again and gave me some reason along the lines of "we are just starting at another golf course in Grapevine, and we're having a hard time filling the spots, so we will give you a buy one get one year free. So you'll be paying for one year ($395) at one golf course and another year ($395) at grapevine, but you'll get 2 years free." I thought, "hey what a good deal, I'll do that." They send over a contract which matches what they agreed to. I paid for both within a couple days of each other. I send in my artwork, and the proof they sent back was the exact same thing I sent them, but on a white background. I became suspicious, but I approved it anyway with the justification of "they probably don't have the scorecards made up yet." Almost 4 months pass and I've kind of forgotten about it, but I receive a call from another rep saying "Hey we have another golf course in Westlake that we can't really sell for because it's too late in the year, we are happy to give you 2 years free on that. We've also sent out the scorecards at Robson and Grapevine." They then send me a contract saying "Westlake golf course $790, Grapevine golf course $0." I was suspicious and asked him about it, but said to trust him based off what he said verbally. So I foolishly said "ok." They charge my card $395, which I still don't understand. Since all I originally wanted was a year at Robson and a buy on get one free year at Grapevine, I called and complained and asked for a refund and to see the actual artwork that they sent out. After a long conversation with them defending themselves and me trying to explain how the different contracts they sent don't make sense, they agreed to 3 things: They'll send a $395 refund, and they'll send me the artwork, and they will not advertise at Westlake. I agreed. It's now a month later and I haven't seen a refund, I haven't seen the completed artwork, and I'm pissed. Don't trust them, bench...
Read moreStay away, it's a scam! This company called me saying I was "referred by the people who play golf at prairie lakes and the previous spot holder had retired". Sounded like a good deal. While I was working with them I got a call from Oregon from another sales man offering the same deal for $400 more. Then I told my sales guy here in Arlington what he said and said he could do it for $250 cheaper. I had already paid for my advertising, this just an add-on. They said I would receive a plate once it was placed in November. Never got it. Called our sales guy in January and he doesn't work there anymore. Called the 1800 number and they said they don't sent plates or anything to the company that advertises. Of you want, I could go see it. Then I've been getting non stop messages from people in North Carolina from these people that they have limited spots and want to renew my spot. Mine shouldn't be up until November and that's if it's up. I've had 3 different people text me saying the same thing and I call them and they hang up on me. This whole thing is a scam. I don't doubt the same people that post the good reviews is the same people who are...
Read moreSTAY AWAY! Brian Z (he wouldn’t tell me his last name. He said Brian Z extension 276). Ok so, the sales person was enthusiastic and very professional. Promised me to have my ad professionally designed and in the golf course before some big tournament that was coming up in a couple of weeks. Well, a month later I called to check on the status of my art work, and it had not been worked on. They then had someone quickly piece a few pics together and send to me for approval. It was like they used Pic collage or something. I requested to cancel the ad and a refund, then the file was sent to another designer, named Daniel who did a great job on the new design. However, my ad was never sent to the golf course. Another month passed by and I called Bench Craft to ask what is going on. Brian was super ignorant and disrespectful. I again requested a refund and he said that I am wasting my time because I will not get a refund. I am now filing a small claim in court for a petty $450 refund. The money isn’t the concern. The issue is that the customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced in life. Please do not do...
