Kay Yo's Clubhouse — Local services in Fort Worth

Let me start off by saying the venue is beautiful. An absolute gem and rare find. We did experience some poor communication during the process. We gave a date and was instructed to call on a specific date and time to book, we called earlier than given time and when we called they already booked my date with someone else.

We decided on pushing my date back for my event because the venue was nice. I was charged a $50 non refundable fee to hold date and a $200 deposit to be refunded granted no huge mishaps. I ordered security for an additional $200 because of location. Turns out security is a relative who watches the building from the parking lot. I was able to confirm that he has all of his credentials but I think if I was made aware of how security works I may have kept my $200.

During time of initially looking at the building we asked if we could come back and see how the TVs worked as it got closer to the event so I could play slide shows. We were informed that the 3 TVs required 3 separate usbs and that it wouldn’t be a problem to do a run through before event. When we tried to do a run through we were given grief and attitude as if we were a bother and we were left to figure it out but we felt a bit rushed and we felt we frustrated them.

My event ended at 1 am and when I left the building it was in good shape. Per my event planner the owner informed her the next day she was keeping my deposit because we didn’t empty bathroom trash (was not communicated or in contract) and because we didn’t use broom to sweep (also not communicated or in contract) the utility closet was locked in building but owner said the broom was between a wall and the refrigerator (also not communicated) I’m posting photos of the bathroom trash can and dust she swept up to explain why she was keeping my deposit.

Update: I personally spoke with owner and she informed me there was tape put on the floor by one of the vendors and that is not permitted (this was told to us at walk through) we were able to come to an agreement where neither party felt slighted. I was refunded $100 back.

Again this venue is beautiful and I believe in the future with all parties having better communication there will not be any future problems. This was an isolated issue and I will definitely utilize this venue again...

This is a great venue to have an event. Whether it's a birthday party, barmitzva, a political event, or family reunion. They have space for it all. And the owners take time to listen & will help if you need it. They will also decorate if you need them to. Dorlinda is the ultimate decorator...
