Hoby's Market & Deli — Local services in Fortuna

I love markets like this - yummy sandwich and sides, lots of options for snacks and drinks. I got a turkey sandwich, sides of macaroni salad and potato salad, chips and a drink. They were all satisfying and I had leftovers for later that I am looking forward to. Staff was friendly and hard at work during the lunch hour, lots of upkeep and organizing going on while I was there.

This is my first time stopping so I can't say much about consistency but would come again when I'm in the area. I couldn't compare as much as I would like because some things were not labeled. Nobody answers the phones when calling. Kendra, who I guess is a supervisor. Is BEYOND rude! She chased down my elderly Aunt into the parking lot to her car and told her she needed to leave immediately because she was on private property! Mind you, she was just in the store and made a purchase. I was in the gas station filling up my car because we were going out together for the day when I heard her yelling! When I made it over my Aunt was in her car begging Kendra to get away and she wouldn’t leave her alone! I finally had to step in front of her so she could close the door and drive away! Nice to have a store close by. However... Make sure you look at the price on the shelf ( if there is one) cuz it's gunna be a higher price when you get to the register. This has been an on going issue for a long time. I walk around with a note pad to write prices down because most items at the register aren't what they say on the shelf. This was an ongoing problem in the beer section. They just pulled all the price tags to alleviate said problem .
