This is an easy yet scenic hike. Took the family of flatlanders with two little ones and they had a blast, running ahead, checking out all the interesting rocks/boulders and climbing the man made steps. The trail is plenty wide in most spots, offers a good variety of vegetation, rock formations, wildlife and the sound of falling water on much of the trail. The falls themselves aren't as high as I was hoping but still very much worth the easy hike and quite scenic. There is plenty of space at the end to sit down and enjoy your surroundings while...

It was a wonderful time to hike. Very short hike, not too hard. There’s a bit of an elevation in the return for novice hikers but nothing unmanageable. There’s a neat little info center at the beginning of the hike for those who need to purchase a poncho or tools for hiking. The little creek that runs along is lovely and a good build up as you follow it uphill to the falls. The final falls itself are lovely. It’s family friendly and a great hike to do with kids as well. Not too long and great spots for photo op...

You take the Bear Lake Road to get to this trail. Alberta Falls is a short hike with beautiful views in Rocky Mountain National Park. Rocky Mountain National Park entry fee is $20 for one day and $35 for 7 days and be aware of their timed entries before you go.

It's not that challenging of a hike. It's a highly trafficked trail so be prepared to see lots of people on the trail. The views are great to stop...

Alberta Falls is a scenic, family-friendly hike in Rocky Mountain National Park, near Estes Park, Colorado. The 1.7-mile round trip trail features a gentle 200-foot elevation gain, making it perfect for young children. Starting at the Glacier Gorge Trailhead, the well-maintained path winds through shaded forests with opportunities for kids to spot wildlife, climb rocks, and cross small bridges. The highlight is the 30-foot cascading Alberta Falls, especially impressive in spring and summer. The viewing area offers plenty of space to relax, enjoy a snack, or dip your hands in the cool creek. #colorado #mountains #waterfall #travellife #estespark #traveling #hiking #hikingwithkids #fyp

Thinking of hiking to Alberta Falls, Mills Lake or anywhere inside Rocky above 9,000 feet? Be prepared for icy and snowpacked trails. Traction devices that attach to the bottom of your hiking boots and hiking poles are highly recommended. Image Credit: NPS video/K.Daugherty; Alberta Falls, taken 11/6/2023 #RMNP #RecreateResponsibly
