Big Cottonwood Canyon — Local services in Four Corners States

Lake Mary near Brighton and Solitude was my home in the mid 1970s. A small cabin covered by ten foot drifts of snow. I was in grad school at University of Utah. We all mostly cross country skied around the lake. Too expensive to alpine ski at resorts.

The quiet was magnificent. Surrounded by snow, pine trees and aspens. Small wood fires and 3-4 layers of clothes. Then moving into spring and summer.

If you're ever looking for a location to take any sort of photos in the mountains, this would be the place I would recommend as a photographer. It's so beautiful, easily accessible (about 30 minutes from Salt Lake City), and a great opportunity to get some fresh air as well!
