Lake Mary near Brighton and Solitude was my home in the mid 1970s. A small cabin covered by ten foot drifts of snow. I was in grad school at University of Utah. We all mostly cross country skied around the lake. Too expensive to alpine ski at resorts.
The quiet was magnificent. Surrounded by snow, pine trees and aspens. Small wood fires and 3-4 layers of clothes. Then moving into spring and summer.
