I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share this as a WARNING. On December 16th, I went to Champion Xpress to get my car washed, and during the process, my side mirror (just the mirror) was damaged. I submitted a claim the same day, but by December 23rd, it was rejected. At first, I was upset, but the fix was simple and only cost $35, so I didn't think much of it.
So why am I writing this review? People need to be aware of Champion Xpress’s claims policy. According to their disclaimer, if your VEHICLE IS OVER 2 YEARS OLD and gets damaged during a wash, they won't cover the cost.
I got off easy, but if your windshield, tires, side windows, or other parts get damaged, it could cost you hundreds of dollars—and that’s going to be 100% on you buddy!!!
I'm not saying your car will be damaged but if it does just don't say you haven't been warned. They will do their "investigation" and tell you to have a Champion's day
Another thing: "wash malfunction" isn’t the only way your vehicle can be damaged. I'm no expert, but washing an F-250 with the same settings/tunning as a Mini Countryman could easily lead to damage, even without a...
Read moreDo not bring your car here if you don’t want scratches all over it. I took my brand new car that I had purchased a few weeks prior. I ran it through the car wash one time and they put scratches all over my hood. The claims team has a video of my car coming into the car wash with no scratches on it and the incident report shows that there’s scratches all over the hood documented right after I took it through the car wash. With all of that said, they are still claiming that the scratches are not consistent with something that their equipment would do. Well, duh, your equipment supposed to clean cars not scratch them, obviously, there was something in one of the rollers that caused this issue, but they do not want to take responsibility for it. Highly do not recommend, they are very shady and do not want to take care of their customers. When the incident happened, the management on site said that they could see how that was caused by the car wash, and they would make sure I was taken care of. Five months later of going back-and-forth with the claims team and now they do not want to take...
Read morePleasantly surprised at the quality of clean from an automated drive through bay. I've avoided tunnel car washes for years bc of the risk of micro scratches/damage to paint, which is why I typically hand wash my cars. In a pinch I wanted to give them a try, recommended by a friend who goes regularly and car always looks amazing. I paid $20 for the higher tier wash and was very happy with the results. Additionally I noticed no undue damage/scratches from the gentle brushes. I got a good look at one of the brushes in the tunnel, and the material they use seems to be devoid of picking up and holding on to dirt/debris.
The shaded vacuum bays at the end are wonderful. It gives you an area to clean the interior and also wipe away any remaining water before the sun bakes the water spots in.
5 stars for customer service as well - I was greeted by a super friendly guy who seemed to take a lot of pride in his business. He gave me some interior wipe cloths as a free bonus, so I was able to do a good interior clean at...
