To live/workout here. Let’s start with Apple, when moving out she denied me my deposit fee because I didn’t “notify” them when I moved. Now, living at cotas apartment, which is managed by Apple and her husband Chuck. Apple said she had not been told I was moving, I called the number of cota apartments and guess who picks up, Chuck, who told me to get an lease application from his wife Apple. Apple lied straight to her teeth about having no clue of me moving and then said “if you get someone to move in I’ll give you your deposit” next two days I had people asking for the apartment and I would give them the number to contact 8th Street apartment management . When I came and talked to her that day about the people interested in the space, she denied saying anything about giving me my deposit or getting people to move in to the apartment. On top of that tried to make me pay rent for the next month. Needless to say they didn’t get any money, only took my deposit. So today Nov. 19th, I went to the gym and guess who was there, Apple, just watching me like a hawk. Apple then proceeded to tell one of the staff that I wasn’t a member when you can clearly see I have and 8th street key tag on my key chain. before heading out the staff member stopped me and ask if I was a member while Apple sat behind the wall peeking around the corner while the kind lady was talking to me, I told her what Apple had did. Didn’t know what she was trying to prove and not going to say my skin color is involved at all. She likes to hustle people and to switch up her stories. Don’t get me wrong, Apple definitely was a nice lady until it came time to give me my deposit. Was upset she couldn’t hustle me and expected me to just lay down and take it.

8th street gym contains many resources: a pool and spa, sauna, ellipticals, machines, and a yoga room. However, the pool area has a ceiling with pieces hanging ready to fall. Upon pressing the start button on multiple ellipticals they pause refusing to do their job as a machine. And other weighted machines are broken making it impossible to add weight. Someone once said to me, “this place is ghetto” reassuring the fact that it is old and run down. That’s not the problem. Don’t be tricked by the old reviews. It is not worth the price anymore. They decided to hike up the price by twenty dollars randomly with no notice. The price rising was not due to renovations or some improvement. There is none. That’s also not the biggest problem. Once I found out, my hands scribble my signature ready for membership cancellation. 15 days of notice is not enough for them even though I only got a single days notice of the price rising by 20 dollars... Even though the notice I got was total one day, they still billed me after my cancellation. Not only that, but my cancellation was immediate and I wrote a note on the back asking for consideration. I got none. Next I called and they still billed me after cancellation. No accommodation or consideration whatsoever. No texts or emails to say that the price is going up. The situation is left with it being impossible to give the “thirty days notice.” I feel like I’ve been treated with dishonesty… After the price raises I still see their sign outside advertising incongruently with the actual price.
