BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS! They say don’t bring your own snacks but if you want to actually watch the movie BRING YOUR OWN SNACKS! We arrived 45 minutes early (thinking this would give us plenty of time) and by the time we got through the long line to get into the venue we found our spot, set up, and got into the snack line 20 minutes before the movie started. The snack line had hundreds of people in it who took the same advice of the venue to “help a small business and buy your snacks from us.” I love to support small business but not at the expense of missing the experience they offer. After a 1.5 hour wait in line for movie snacks (yes you read the correctly) then another 25 minute wait for cotton candy (it’s the only treat my daughter had her heart set on) and having multiple items not available (read poor planning, execution, and only 2 cashiers open and no ability to add more) I finally got back to our car and caught the last 20 minutes of the movie and I got very little out of the experience. Next time I’ll BRING MY OWN SNACKS then enjoy the drive-in movie experience. Plenty of good spots to see the movie and drive-in theaters are rare now and so much fun so if you want to actually watch the drive-in movie and enjoy the experience, BRING...
Read morefun experience! but just be aware, if you have a newer vehicle, it will shut off after about 10-15 minutes (depending on the vehicle), so you will have to turn your car back on several times throughout the movie, since the drive in uses fm radio for sound. they have speakers, but it is very very quiet. if they repaired where the speakers used to be (there are rusted poles with wires sticking out of them from years ago that very obviously used to be speakers), i think this would have been a much cooler experience. overall, a dying experience, one that i hope survives, but it isn’t going to last super long if there aren’t upgrades made to this drive in. the pipes designate where to park, but half of them are broken and laying on the ground, they’re all rusted, with wires sticking out (these used to be the speakers as mentioned above), so littler kids need to...
Read moreI absolutely love the Erda Drive-In. It is a big part of the community and a hidden gem here in Tooele County. It’s easy to get our tickets on their app. Once the parking lot is open they keep the line moving quickly and you will be hard pressed to find a bad spot. They have everything laid out perfectly so everyone has an amazing view. Their snack shack is also great, I recommend the churros. They have classic popcorn, cold drinks, and sweet snacks wrapped and made fresh. It’s also reasonably priced, no need to bring my bag of snacks. I love that I can share the drive-in experience with my kiddos, there are so few of them left. Erda Drive In keeps my memories alive and helps me and my family make new ones. Give them a try, it’s a memorable experience and much cheaper than other theaters and you get to choose your seats and make them the best...
