I would highly recommend Jane Lorraine Custom Jewelry. I brought a watch that I picked up from a secondhand store thinking it was worth just under $300 brand new; Except it had damage to the glass. And I wanted to have it repaired before gifting it to my wife for Christmas. Buck looked at it and explained my options and pricing for said options, but before he would commit to doing the repair he wanted to do a little research into the value of the watch. After a little research he showed and explained to me how in this case it didn’t make sense to make the repair because it was far from valuable and he didn’t want to do me a disservice, he then proceeded to put a new battery and set the date/time and did not charge me a cent. First of all, I had no idea this place existed, my husband found it after looking for a local jeweler to repair my wedding ring, and I’m so glad we found them. We brought my ring in to get it re-soldered, he put it back together, perfectly and dipped & polished it. During the cleaning process, one of the diamonds fell out and chipped a bit, it was replaced without question, at no charge to us! We had also given him one of my other rings to clean and polish, they both came back, shiny and looking brand new! I am now just as in love with my beautiful ring as the day my husband gave it to me, now that it has been brought back to life. I Google searched someone local who could clean and repair an old Marine Corp watch of my dad's, and Jane Lorraine Custom Jewelry came up. They have an amazing system of keeping you informed, live chat as well as txt, and phone also. They're an in home business and upon meeting the proprietors, I had NO hesitancy of leaving my dad's watch in their care. They pulled the watch apart, cleaned it and made sure everything was working properly. They replaced the battery and I was able to order a new watchband through them, which came in two days. My watch looks amazing and their rate was very affordable. I don't drive in Salt Lake so it's really nice to have a jewler who does impeccable work, right here local.
