Granite Canyon General Store — Local services in Four Corners States

Will not stop here ever again. Used to be a good place. New owner (since 2020) is extremely menacing and rude. If you do stop here, DO NOT spend more than 5 minutes in his parking lot to make a phone call or check your phone. Also, just know that the owner will record any conversation he has with you and/or will take pictures should you stop in his parking lot without coming in the store immediately. Go a couple miles east toward Florisant for your camping needs (better prices and friendlier staff).

The first time, we were going to come into the store; however, because we didn't come in fast enough you were out front taking pictures and acting menacing. So we left instead. The time you are referring to in your response, you did not tell my husband any such thing about being benevolent in giving back to your community and providing for your family. We were not asked to come inside. Your parking lot was completely empty other than your truck parked out front. We needed to make an important phone call and your response was "you're in the mountains there's no service" when you know full well that there is service there. Stopped in again today. 5-4-24. I love this store. I've been going here since the summer of 2000. The new owners are involved with every aspect of their business. They even have a liquor store. The prices are fair for the Mountain Market Prices. The area now services a bunch of Air BNB's. It has changed over the years from locals and Summer 11 Mile Lake customers. The have some hiking and fishing gear, souvenir clothing and First Aid Kits in the rear gift shop area. This is a great place to buy a last-minute bottle of wine for a romantic meal in the mountains. Love this store. The new owners are very friendly and offer great customer service. We only planned to stop in just for a snack and a drink, but we stayed and shopped for a while. They have fun, gourmet, local treats, and great beverage selection (for kids and adults). The kids loved the toys and games.
