well, I had visited the resort at saratoga springs as a kid, and loved swimming in the pools which were fed by these same geo-thermals, but i never knew of the open inlet hot springs to go take a soak in, and I have lived in sandy,and cottonwood heights for 48 years, it wasn't until the last 6 months that I discovered they were here to enjoy,quite a few people like to frequent the springs and enjoy it, it is however one of the muddiest hot springs in the western u.s. it is also inside a regulated park, which also has video surveillance watching the parking lot, the hours are either 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. if you are caught soaking outside of these hours the local saratoga police will issue you a criminal trespassing ticket(class b misdemeanor) (fines up to $1200.) and if you run into the tall grasses thinking you'll escape getting caught, well?! make sure you run and grab your belongings too,(POOR MILES) or the cops will nab up your clothing and wait for you to emerge with just your suit, or naked.. (nudity is tolerated said some(within the right company) but then again ikt is a city park, so I would highly recommend against it, although i try to always be in the buff when I jump in any of my favorite...
   Read moreMany people who come here don't understand what a hot spring is for. Its not a swimming pool where chemicals added don't bother anyone. It is a natural high mineral health improving experience that people with allergies and skin reactions come to because it's safe for them. If anyone has SUNSCREEN or major smelly anything on their skin, it ruins it for the rest of us. Bring an umbrella for sun. Sunblock ruins the water and gives some people a rash. Do not be that person who stinks it up and ruins the health giving properties...

The main pool is large enough for over a dozen people, with benches and wooden stands for towels and bags.
Hot enough for a snowy day, a relaxing place to get the day started with coffee or wind down with a cold brewski.
