It's a relatively short hike, and I would rate it a moderately challenging hike. I'm a fairly average guy, by no means an avid hiker or backpacker. But I enjoy a good hike from time to time. I'd rate this as one of the best hikes I've ever done. Reviews said it was rewarding and it absolutely was. I did this hike solo in 1 hour, 58 minutes which includes a 12 minute break at the summit to enjoy a water and a snack. I didn't wanna leave, it was beautiful, unfortunately I told the girlfriend I could do it in 2 hours so I had to get back down quickly to prove a point. I'd recommend setting aside 3 hours, just enjoy the summit for a while. My regret was not staying longer.

Loved the view from the top(I recommend climbing the rocks to the top top). Be sure to note that you do NOT have to scale this mountain. We did, because we didn’t see the trail connection on the part of the hike where it’s all rock going up (picture included). Was fun to go off the trail but then it makes it difficult where you are climbing on all fours at times. Otherwise there is a nice path to take you safely up. šŸ˜‚ Beautiful sunrise hike! I’m sure it’s a beautiful sunset one as well!

The trailhead is accessible via a pullout along hwy 7 going south of Estes Park. Moderate to challenging hike especially for beginners. Prepare to rock scramble especially close to the summit. Pay attention to hiking trail signs which are very limited. There is a false trail super close to the summit so pay attention. Super nice view on top with enough space for hikers to chill at the summit and enjoy the view of the mountain ranges of the NP with Longs Peak and Twin Sisters being the...
