Stopped in today for lunch with the family. Our order was placed at 1:26pm. We waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive at our table! Which if busy is understandable but there was only 1 other table in the restaurant that was occupied. I asked Fernando why it was taking so long and that I would like to speak with a manager. He told me he would go check on our food and that a manager was currently not on the premise. Once our food arrived, 4 of the 7 plates were cold to the touch. (Burgers and sandwiches). I also ordered the bison burger and the meat smelt foul. So at this point I asked the server if we could speak to the manager. She went to look for them and came back out to tell us that the manager refused to come out and speak with us. That is absolute terrible customer service from a manager stand point. So I then asked for our food to be compensated. She had to take the plates into the kitchen to send pictures to the manager for approval. He said he would only take off two plates but not the 3 because a portion of the RAW burger had been eaten. The one other table in the restaurant left without getting their food. Fernando finally came out from the kitchen to only argue and dispute any comments or concerns we had. I could understand if they were busy, and I also understand that the service industry is understaffed currently. HOWEVER, the way this situation was handled was UNPROFESSIONAL. We will not return to this restaurant. This was poor customer service. Also to add their American Flag is ripped and tethering. From 3 military vets that is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE 😔

When we started to arrive, the server did not remember our reservation for 8 (which ended up being 5) but quickly put tables together and set them with a great attitude. It took about a half an hour for the whole party to arrive and we were never made to feel rushed. Our solo server explained that the expected back dining room was not open due to the season being slow. So, we ate in the bar. Since we do not drink this was unexpected. The clientele was pleasant and quiet so, no problem. It took quite a while to have our orders taken as our server never stopped rushing between all the tables and the bar. She had a remarkable memory, remembering all five orders perfectly. It was an hour before the orders came, but they were worth the wait.. For appetizers, we can recommend the Skillet Queso (if not the chips) and the Southwest Elote Corn Bites with a nummy dip. Each was $9. Don't forget to check out the bar menu as it has several tasty options not on the menu. The Stagecoach Fries are particularly good. The pulled pork sliders come with a huge dish of sweet potato fries. The delicious Ribeye Steak was listed as "MP", which we assume was Market Price. The Market Price was $48!! To be fair, the accompanying salad and potato were very large. House made bleu cheese dressing got a fair rating. It took our overworked server quite a while to bring the check, but, if you have lots of time, we can recommend a visit. Note: two of our party got confused as to where the entrance was: it was through the enormous steer skull. Watch for the skeleton!

Steer Clear

Tonight I made my second visit to the Longhorn Grill and Saloon. It has been well over a year since my last visit and I didn’t go back because it took two hours to order and get two hamburgers. I’m willing to forgive so my wife and I decided to give it a try.

When we arrived the host was yakking on her cell phone and not giving us any eye contact. We browsed the dinning room and saw it was wasn’t even half full. About 5 minutes later the host acknowledged our presence and told us it would be at least 5 minutes. In the mean time she socialized with the bar staff in another room, gabbed with the waitresses and talked on her phone. Finally after 10 to 15 minutes she cleaned up a couple of menus and showed us to a table that had been open and clean the whole time.

After about 5 minutes a bus boy cleaning the table next to us got us some water and said the waitress would be with us soon. We looked at the menu and saw it had a nice mix of BBQ and American food. Looking around the dinning room a couple other table had food that look fairly good but nothing special. There were several other tables with diners that had finished their meal and were waiting for their slip. No one shows up. The waitresses with when in the kitchen, and I could see through the window had long conversations with the cooks. Ten minutes later two waitresses came out and cleared a table for two. They both had to make two trips to get the two plate and a couple glasses off the table. Again they disappear. My wife would have liked a drink but there was not drink menu in the menu book. The other diners were looking pretty frustrated but no one comes. We catch glimpses of waitresses running around to the bar and visiting with the host but offering no service.

It’s been 25 minutes and nothing is happening. I look at my wife and ask , ā€œHave enough of thisā€? She said, ā€œI thought you’d never askā€. We leave, no one cares or even approaches us. Needless to say we’re never going back.

I don’t know why anyone would try to run a business this way. I doubt if they will last very long with service like this. Save yourself a lot of frustration and don’t go to the Longhorn.

There should be no starts as there...

Went into Longhorn Grill website to see what pizzas they offered, but there is no information, they have a limited menu due to Covid which is stated there on the menu. I was going to order lunch for myself and my co-workers who work at a nearby company. I call in at 10:35am on Dec 30th no answer, I call back in, and a gentleman by the name I believe I heard was Michael answered I may be wrong with the name. I said I wanted to place an order for takeout and asked if he could tell me what kind of pizzas they offered. He tells me, ā€œare you kidding me?ā€, I didn’t think that was addressed to me so I say nothing, I hear another phone ring and he tells me to hold on. He sounded rushed and impatient when he answered, I understand the stress, I’ve worked in the restaurant business and the customer service business, but one needs to learn to work under pressure and remain calm, cool, and collected. He comes back and tells me, do you have access to the internet? And me, sitting at my office desk say yes, he then tells me, if you go on to our website you will find our menu and the different types of pizzas we offer(I had already gone into their website and didn’t find this information, reason why I was calling). He then tells me, I don’t have time to be here on the phone telling you all the different types of pizzas we have, so if you have access to the internet, you can look at it there. He then says, I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m really busy right now I have other phone calls and people waiting I can’t be telling you our pizzas. So having worked in customer service, I calmly thanked him told him I would go in to see their menu and place the order there. We ended up ordering lunch...
