My mother passed away and some of her jewelry that I have found while going through her things have been completely un-wearable! However, nothing can replace jewelry I remember seeing on my mothers hand all my life. I have searched many places and could not find anyone willing to take on such tragic pieces of jewelry to fix. As Mark said to one ring, " was this stepped on maybe a few times?" the answer is YES-road kill no longer round. It was put into original form and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg! I wish I would have taken a picture before and after but, I didn't sadly. I also found a loose opal I wanted to have set into a ring. The issue with this stone was the "upside down" side was the more beautiful view of the stone. Soooo you might be thinking he said no to this project but, you would be dead wrong! He made a custom ring all from scratch and even set the stone upside down, turned in a unique way to go with the band. ONE of a KIND! Listen if you want to go to a jewelry store where you feel like family and your valuable jews are in need of repair or even need something created then GO HERE! Mark and his wife welcome your questions and take the best care of you. I have literally taken 18 projects (lost stones, ring sizing, re-rounding, cut open rings, smashed to nearly flat rings) and he has done everything right and if I have any issues he is open to hear them without attitude. ONE last thing, he also has allowed me to bring in scrap gold/rings and even taken an unfixable gold bracelet in for a discount on my account total. On rings that had diamonds and other stones he returns back to me. Thanks to this family owned jewelry store in Arvada I get to wear my great grandmothers/mothers jewelry again and they don't LIVE in a jewelry box not being enjoyed. Thank you again for your...
Read moreWent in to see if they might be able to help me with ring size- I was honest and explained that I was wanting to get a breast milk ring, he said they did that there, and that most jewelers do. I responded, oh thatâs perfect, Iâd prefer to support local when I can, but didnât know thatâs a thing most jewelers did, I then asked to see if he had any options or pictures of what he did with breast milk. This is when it took a nasty turn. He responded that nope, heâs busy enough and âwith all do respect, heâs not going to waste his time with me since I was planning on buying online.â I reiterated that Iâd prefer to support local if he had anything he could show me so I could decide. He doubled down and said no again, he didnât want to waste any time on me. I just walked out, I didnât even measure my fingers with the tool he handed to me- further, his ring measuring tool was made of plastic, which isnât going to give an accurate ring size feel.
Iâve never walked out of a retailer of any kind that was quite that nasty to me- I literally had a visceral reaction to the encounter. Please donât go there - itâs an extremely unpleasant experience. I went to D & K Jewelers- much better experience, they donât make breast milk jewelry (I doubt MylaJune make breast milk jewelry either, he seemed to be having a bad day and just wanted to take it...
Read moreI walked in with a crazy idea and was in a pinch for time. Mark and Myla made it happen. After I expressed that the following day was my seventh wedding anniversary and I was looking for a special copper piece I could see Markâs wheels start turning. He was unable to expedite copper material to their store so he went out and found some on his own. Within 24 hours he had turned a piece of copper piping into a gorgeous ring - just my husbandâs size. The center is a beautiful matte finish framed by a shiny copper rim. Inside he engraved an acronym that was engraved on my husbandâs original ring that had broken some years prior. I presented it to my husband at dinner. When he put together the traditional gift for seven years of marriage is copper and saw the acronym engraved he got tears in his eyes. He said it was the perfect âgoing outâ ring (he wears silicone for work). He put it on immediately. I just wanted to send a personal thank you to Myla and Mark for running with my wild ideas. I know it was not easy. I will be back and I will be referring you to my family...
