It costs $8 per person. Only credit cards accepted no cash. To access the Monument Valley Tribal Park you must pay the fee even guests at the View Hotel must pay this fee. Hotel guests just need to keep your receipt and you get a park pass receipt and show that to re-enter the park during your stay. Only need to pay once. At the park there is the scenic drive, wildcat trail, valley viewpoint, restaurant and gift shop. They do follow daylight savings time even though Arizona does not. So when DST begins they are one hour ahead. Check website for hours for scenic drive since it closes 2 1/2 hours before the sun goes down since it takes 2 hours to do. Cars with low clearance can’t do the drive. They don’t allow RV’s or motorcycles on the drive. There are payed guided tours instead. Check if the wildcat trail is open. It is easy and free to do no need for guide and you can get a lot of good photos of the buttes. It’s a sandy downward trail. The view is best during sunset. Sunrise is good too and quiet people eating breakfast so the view is empty. The gift shop is average nothing special. The one at Goulding’s Lodge is better and...

Lots of negative reviews here, so I’ll share our experience. No wait at the toll booth(cash not accepted), $16 for my wife and I. Very pleasant lady at the booth. Did the 4 mile hiking trail, very quiet and peaceful. Last 1/2 mile uphill in soft sand gets the heart pumping. Then took the 17 mile loop road for some amazing views and pics. Bought a couple of earrings from a very pleasant and interesting vendor lady at John Ford point. A lot of the reviews mentioned only 25 cars per hour, only 1.5 hours allowed. Not true. The road is rough in parts but not surrounded by trash or old cars or whatever one misleading reviewer said. All in all a wonderful...

Never met an attendant so rude. Pulled up to the booth to ask a question as we had a sunrise tour early the next day from the View Hotel, so I was simply asking if the gate would be open for me to show my pass. She huffed as she had to put down her phone she was texting on and responded for me to use my "common sense" and to show the pass when after the tour. No basic manners and went back to her very important texting. Shame I didn't get this lady's name, but she shouldn't be in a customer facing role if your going to be this rude in an area that...

POV: Team iPhone vs Team Drone. Both shot from around the same location — which team are you on? Drone for me this time. ✨ 🚨 For transparency — the drone video was shot outside of Monument Valley Tribal Park in legal airspace on the northern border. The Navajo Nation prohibits the use of drones and other aircraft within Navajo Tribal Parks including the Monument Valley Tribal Park, Lake Powell Navajo Tribal Park, Tseyi Dine Heritage Area, and the Little Colorado River Gorge. Permits are not included in the entry fee. A permit must be obtained from the Navajo Nation Film Office before using drones. #djimini3 #aerialphotography #dronelife #utah #desertlife #reelsIG #viralreels #beutahful #utahunique #dronevideo #dronevideos #travelgram #reelsgood #monumentvalley #sanjuancounty #southernutah
