This is one of the best places in Cedar Breaks to take photos of the canyon. The direction of the sun right before sunset time is the absolute best time to go take photos. The light bounces off the red rocks and it is really camera friendly. Dress warm! This spot is always windy and people are taken off guard when they go out to the lookout because of the high wind conditions.
It would be good to bring a tripod for long photo shots. Please do not go out onto the ledge area. The National Park Service has contacted me and told me that it's not allowed and you can be fined for it. When I first moved to the area I didn't know because it's not marked. It can be very dangerous out there and they don't want anyone getting hurt.

It has a good size parking lot and if needed some “Port a Potties” if you need to use the restroom.
