Sedona View RV Resort's rules say: “All pets must be on a leash when outside the RV. Noisy, messy, destructive, aggressive, unleashed or dangerous pets will be cause for immediate eviction.”
I was chased by an unleashed dog while walking to the office. The barking dog sprinted toward me from the side and I took off running. The owners could not re-gain control of the dog and the dog caught up to me. I slowly backed away to create distance. The dog closed in on me, continued to bark and began to walk around me. I noticed that the ears of the dog were flattened and the dog was holding a position low to the ground in a manner that made me believe the dog was going to attack me. The dog owner's had to physically pull their dog back to their RV. I’ve never seen anything like this. Dogs are usually very friendly toward me.
I told Tom, the manager, what happened. His resolution was to give the dog owner’s one more chance telling them that if it happened again, there would be serious consequences. We didn’t feel the dog owner’s should be given another chance for this to happen again. Tom told us he has never seen the dog off leash and the tenants had been there a long time. When expressing our concerns over our safety in the RV park, Tom said if you don’t feel safe, I wouldn’t stay.
The next day, while paying, I told Tom we were heading out. He said yeah, that’s probably a good idea. He indicated that he wasn’t happy with my wife voicing her concerns the day before (he called it pressing him in a direction) because this somehow undermined his authority. He said he is the manager and he makes the decisions. I tried to speak but he cut me off and continued to lecture me. He said I needed to see his point of view, not just my own. Very disappointed with the way things...
Read moreUnless you want to be yelled at by the office manager, do not stay here. I have never received such rude, unprofessional treatment at a business. Had I not pre-paid for three days I would have left immediately.
On Day 1 of our stay we had phoned ahead to ask about late check-in procedures. The phone message told us the office closed at 2:30 p.m. I tried to leave a message but the voicemail was full. When we arrived around 6 p.m. we attempted to drive directly to our "rim view site" which we soon learned had been given to another party. We went back to the office which we were surprised to find open after all. The manager Kathy proceeded to yell at us because we had not waited for an escort (there was no sign telling us to do so). She went on and on about how someone had run into a water line and caused her all kinds of trouble (not my problem), and told us there were no picnic tables at the sites because someone had come in and stolen them all. (Really? Someone stole 150+ tables? Did they come in with a semi?)
When I explained that I had tried to leave a message she shouted, almost triumphantly, "My voicemail was full, wasn't it?"
This all could have been avoided by a call or text to me (she had my number and we had pre-paid) and by posted signs or directions in our reservation confirmation.
The place itself is new and clean but you're squeezed in like sardines. It seems to be made up mostly of full-timers. The "view" is of the highway and a car dealership.
One bright spot: the maintenance guy with the ZZ Top beard who served as our "escort" to the spot Kathy moved us to was friendly...
Read moreTerrible experience. NOT TO MENTION, they keep a card on file!!! Don’t ever give them a card over the phone!!! To start, I paid cash for monthly rent one month, and I asked MULTIPLE times for a receipt to show I had overpaid, and I had a credit to go towards the next month. The lady (Kathy) who works the front desk would not get back to me, and kept blaming it on the “computer.” Well when the next month had came, they sent me a bill for rent without my credit and I had to argue to say how much I had paid and they were like “how much did you pay again?” Don’t overpay because apparently they’re incompetent on this as well. I had to leave unexpectedly, and I gave them a 29 day notice - and asked them to apply my deposit to the month I had just paid (7 days prior) and tried to get a refund back, they said no refunds whatsoever. They do not actually apply your deposit even with 29 days NOTICE!!! They kept my entire deposit!! I only stayed 4 1/2 days in August and they tried to charge me over $100 for electric for not even staying the entire month, they sent me a bill for electric that I didn’t even USE. They also used my whole deposit ($675) towards the 4 1/2 days I had stayed. I was very cordial with them the entire time, and they don’t work with you if you have an emergency and have to leave. Don’t expect any kindness from them. I will ensure I do not recommend them to any of my clients. Don’t stay here if you have to leave unexpectedly!!! Cancellation policy is an...
