We have stayed at this RV resort park for many years and it is our favorite location in Colorado. Unfortunately, our experience this trip was awful. We received a text message prior to our arrival that our cabin had been switched because there would be no water at our original cabin no problem we’ll take a different cabin. We checked in yesterday, June 22. We arrived to our cabin, settled in only to realize there was no water in this cabin either. They did offer to move us to another cabin, which was a one bed one bath cabin. We had three adults and three children with us. We chose to stay in the cabin with no water we went to Walmart and stocked up on gallons of water so we could flush the toilet because we did have a family member with a health condition That required frequent restroom use when we woke up the morning of June 23. There was still no water and no electricity. I went to the front office to inquire what was going on and the doors were locked, and there was no one there. I did run across a man named Jase, who said he was the property manager he began screaming at me, mocked my clothing because I was had worn An anti-racism shirt the day before. Apparently, he was irritated by my antiracist shirt because he began yelling at me about it. He then started ripping things apart, including the entrance gate to the resort. And then he screamed at me to leave the property immediately he was calling the police to have me arrested. I did tell him he seemed a little unhinged and then I went back to my cabin woke up my children, and we began packing the car so we could leave. Within 15 minutes two sheriffs were at our cabin to escort us off the property. They did refund all of our money, but it was the most bizarre, insane behavior I have ever seen from someone who claims to be member of management.
We were not going to let such a bad experience ruin our trip and we were lucky enough to find a beautiful set of cabins nearby that had helpful staff and...
Read moreIf I could give a zero star rating, I would. I booked a reservation on 2/21/24 for June 1 for 29 nights for $1479.32. I was speaking to their representative over the phone when I booked. I then received a CONFIRMATION that stated APPROVED on it the same evening. The next day, I received a call from someone that stated "there was a glitch in their system and my rate is now over $5000 if I wanted to keep the reservation. I called back today and spoke to a very rude individual who again stated that they would not honor my reservation. Stated that it still needed to be approved and they had a glitch with a new site and would not honor it. I explained that if you post the wrong price in advertisement, that is your problem not mine. He even stated that he would have the owner "block" those dates so that it's now not available for my reservation per their Rules/Regulations. In reading those same R&R's, it states that specific sites are not guaranteed but you would be moved to a different "like" level of RV site. I stated that I had spoken to an attorney friend of mine who stated that I was in the right. The person on the phone then stated that I was banned from Tiger Run since I was threatening a lawsuit. That is not what I said. Mistakes happen, but if you are in business, you have to be responsible for your mistakes not the customer. Not sure if this is bait and switch but be very careful in dealing with this RV park.||||Just discovered that they charged my credit card for their $50 deposit and still hasn't credited it back to me even after they sent me a...
Read moreThe place was ok. The surroundings incredible. There were a few issues with the place. First, the ladies up front were pretty stand-offish, and at one point just ignored me while they carried on a personal conversation. Shane was awesome however. Also, if you are coming during the winter YOU MUST PREPARE. We have a very nice 4 season rig (DRV JX450) that was supposed to handle the cold. There is a difference between 'cold' and -10. We were there for a month and we had water for the first two days. after that, all the pipes just froze solid. The problem was that we were only going to be there for a month. Skirting the rig would have been $400-$500 just for cheap foam. Add labor, add a heater under the rig, add hose heaters and hose insulation. It gets to be very expensive. We elected to not do it and just walked to the club house for showers. The clubhouse was nice. Better than many, but not incredible. It runs out of hot water, and the weight room is very small. But it has an indoor pool and two hot tubs. We had to have a front-loader come over to our site to dig it wide enough for us to get out.
The location is just down the road from Breck and that is the main draw. The area is just spectacular. Go hit the town of Breck, take 6 up over the Loveland pass, go over Berthoud Pass and over to Grand Lake. It is beyond beautiful.
Breck seemed to always have one festival or another. We did the Ullr festival, the Santa 5k, the lighting of the streets, etc. You will...
