Twin Lakes General Store: Please don't treat me like a dirty hiker. I AM a dirty hiker, but I'm also a dirty hiker with a credit card, and likely would have spent much more in your store had I not been treated with such contempt.
I didn't appreciate being told to "please move" by one of your employees when I was sitting on your front porch, eating overpriced snacks purchased in your store, after almost faiting from dehydration and low blood sugar after climbing Elbert that morning. Again, I might have bought more in your store. I didn't.

I’ve seen countless backpackers come down the mountain to this store to hang out, grab a quick snack and drink and refuel. This store was my SAVING GRACE after coming down from a long day on Mt. Elbert. I picked up a bobos bar, energy drink, and even a guide book to the fourteeners. There’s also an accessible microwave to make breakfast burritos and sandwiches of all sorts, any snack you can think of, and hiking essentials + MORE!!! This is the best place to stop in before or after your stay at Twin Lakes; you won’t be...
