From start to finish an excellent experience. Played 36 holes for a buddies golf trip (8 of us).Pro was welcoming and explained where everything was. Range is awesome with plenty of real estate to let loose. Range balls were clean and turf was fresh. Great presentation on the putting green with plenty of cups and every break you will find on the course. Course conditions were perfect , as to be expected for $290 out the door for 36 in Feb. Fairways were perfect and greens were rolling true. Best features are the tee boxes and a yardage pole in the fairway. Tee boxes are very wide and perfectly flat for once. Tee markers are placed on the outside ends on the box which allows for better angles off the tee and in to the par 3âs. As you will find out, Off the tee you can see a yardage pole (genius) on the 4âs and 5âs Which tells you exactly how much fairway you have to deal with if you hit that number (plaque will tell you). Ive played a lot of courses in AZ and this is easily a top 5 track. Everything you want in a course. Everyone who reads this, enjoy as my review is dead on. To top it off my buddy aced #4 In the morning and picked up the dinner tab( which was healthy )made this experience even more memorable. Do yourself a favor and play a round. My review is right on the money! Only thing I wish they would do is paint the cups white because...
Read moreThis is my new favorite golf course and facility in Arizona. If you haven't made the trip, it is DEFINITELY worth the commute. I highly suggest turning it in to an entire day trip so you can enjoy the golf course, a meal at one of the two restaurants, and a trip to the 9 hole par 3 course.
From first arrival I was treated very well. Bag drop attendees were gracious, pro shop employee was kind and talkative, and the rangers/player assistants were more than helpful.
The putting green and practice facility were in great shape. Plenty of room for the many golfers to get their warmup in. I never felt cramped or rushed because of all of the space.
The course itself is fantastic. Every hole has character and a view of the Arizona landscape. Having never played the course, there was plenty of signage and on course info that helped me feel confident and comfortable. I never felt lost or confused with a blind shot or dogleg.
The best part of the trip was playing The Little Wick. A nine hole par three track that runs around a gorgeous patio and bar with music playing that you can hear in every corner of the course. We ordered a round of cigars and drinks and had a blast playing. Afterwards the food was great. Reasonably priced burgers, sandwiches, and snacks.
A trip out here is HIGHLY recommended for lovers of golf...
Read moreâ ď¸ THIS IS A MUST PLAY!!! Wickenburg Ranch is literally the nicest/most beautiful golf course I've ever played in my life. Granted, I've only been playing golf for 4-5 years & my average is only between 94-97 (broke 90 two times this year đ), but still, what a BREATHTAKING GOLF COURSE.. Definitely challenging at times, but we'll worth every penny!
I played here Friday 05/07/2021 while on vacation from Chicago. From the moment I arrived I was greeted with some of the best customer service I've ever received at any golf course. The mountain views were phenomenal & the course was in spectacular shape. It looked like it was literally just built. Definitely worth the 1 hour & 27 minute drive from where I was staying in Scottsdale. Some great scenic/mountain views on the drive up there as well đđź.
Next time I visit AZ I'll be playing this course again, without a doubt. Unbelievable how pristine the tee boxes, fairways & greens were for a 2pm tee time on a Friday too. 5 stars, no...
