So 1st and foremost this is probably been the worst disney experience I have ever had. Also my first time at Disney world. We are frequent Disneyland goers and since it has been closed due to covid we went cross country for disneyworld. We were there 7 days and I was able to count 3 cast members that were nice. EVERYONE else was short and rude with us. The bus drivers, the front desk, the food court workers... all of them. I'm not sure if it was because they are being overworked or not, either way it is not an excuse for poor customer service at the most "magical" place on earth. Upon arrival we had 4 rooms booked, 3 of which were available by 230(we opted for early check in) then the 4th room wasn't available until 530 pm. They had no idea why or what was going on and why that room wasnt ready yet, they didn't even want to make eye contact when we went down thwre to see qhat was going on. One family in our group had to stand outside with all of their luggage and wait for 3 hrs until their room was ready.. Then on day 3 we come back to our room and run the tub full of water to bathe our children and the water came out brown. (Picture attached). Evidently they worked on the pipes that day and while they enter your room to "check" on it daily the couldn't run the water to make sure it was clear? Or at least give us a heads up that we needed to run it for 10 minutes first. The it was 2 days before we're leaving and I go down to so laundry, the vending machine was broken for laundry detergent, and the store on property had also sold out. Just another inconvenience. I am very disappointed in our experience here. The layout and all the giant toys in toystory rooms are a nice addition though. The hotel itself wasn't bad, the service and maintenance was...
Read moreDO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! The Hilton is very close, it is much much much nicer and staff is more friendly. The Swan and Dolphin is at another level and this hotel doesnât compare at all. All three are about the same price BUT this hotel has ZERO amenities.. it seems Disney is still trying to ride the Covid train and is using that as an excuse to remove most of their services for the same high price. We arrived for a late check in and although there were many staff members no one really wanted to help. Finally I stood in front of a guy named Patrick for so long that he was forced to talk to me and check me in. Zero communication, zero help and after I asked he informed me Disney is no longer providing magic bands for rooms, there is no valet, the amenities are limited, cleaning is not a thing and Ofcourse the arcade for kids is closed. Although we live in Florida and no other hotel around requires a mask this one requires you to wear a mask at all times in doors or the employees will jump on you immediately. The good thing is that if you donât wear the mask it forces them to speak to you so they now are compelled to listen to whatever help you may need. As a pass holder for many years I can tell you it is extremely SAD how Disney has fallen. The rooms were small parking is uncomfortable beds are not queen beds. Also, UNIVERSAL is no longer requiring masks because this is Florida and we have an amazing Governor so we are definitely considering switching our anual passes to Universal Islands and Volcano Bay... whether you care about the mask thing or not this hotel is for sure not worth the money there are sooooo much nicer and friendlier hotels in the area for about the same price. 1 Star...
Read moreWe stayed here for 5 nights in June 2019. Check in was nice and we were able to leave our bags with the concierge the first morning rather then the hot van all day before we officially checked in.
We were in the toy story area, the room remodel was quite nice. 9 years ago we stayed here and our primary memory was that the rooms were like tiny little cracker boxes. This time, very nice modern updates and the second bed flips up to the wall and creates a nice table and chair sitting area so u donât feel so crammed in anymore. The beds were very comfortable and Iâm guessing queen or large doubles as there was plenty of space putting a kid or teen together.
Had an issue with the HVAC not cooling well in one of the rooms that didnât get fixed the first time so had to call back a second time.
Housekeeping did none of the âback in the dayâ, signature Disney touches like arranging the towels in special Disney designs so that was a little disappointing as we had an 8 yr old daughter who that would have been exciting for.
Location is a little far so plan on 25-35 minutes and to stand in line waiting for the Disney busses.
Overall, very enjoyable for a âcheaperâ hotel that mostly serves as a place to sleep. Our teenagers said they would prefer the next level up next time even without the themes elements as we were in parks...
