For anyone on the fence yes this is one of those old school companies that just works. Cash or Check is just easier for him to keep track of and deal with. He will get your device in how you shipped it open it take it apart repair it and wrap it up just like you did and ship it back to you in the same packaging with the port he took out in the box as well so there is no doubt it got replaced. I went to my bank and had them print me a check because i havent used one since high school. I put the check in between the screen and laptop. Wrapped it in an entire roll of bubble wrap put it and the charger in a box and took it to the post office. USPS is better in my rural area for deliveries so i went in and had them weigh and measure the package and then stepped aside and ordered labels online with my USPS account. you can select qr code so they can scan it at the post office and print labels off for you. my post office has a self peel label printer so the second label came out ready to stick so they took a couple other peel and stick things and used the backs to cover the new label and put it in the box with everything.....tape is not included at USPS unless its priority so bring tape lol...I sent it out on a Wednesday afternoon and he received it friday. Again this is an old school company and hes working so you dont get arival pings or anything like that usps tracking told me it was delivered and i sent an email asking if it had arived and got back "its here" this guy is busy working and each email he has to answer is more time from soldering in ports. Got my laptop back Monday morning wrapped up just like i had sent it with some extra packing paper crumpled in the box to keep it from moving at all. Works perfect he also cleaned the power cable. I could see the pitting and oxidation on the cable but figured i would see if he could bring it back. ive occasionally had the power not plugged in correctly pop up but once i replaced the power brick connection is solid and no issues. All in all I am super pleased. I understand if you are on the fence but trust me it is worth it to not have to play the jiggle jiggle game anymore to see if you can get it charging again. Power Jack Repair is a top notch outfit. I have been getting advice from the owner of this company for six years now - all the way back to 2019. I can tell you with the utmost confidence this guy is an absolute wizard and quite honestly a genius when it comes to laptop / hardware repair. The owner has always been quick to answer any inquiries and is a top-notch professional. In the summer of 2022 I sent over an ASUS ROG model that is notorious for the power port/jack failing - just go to Power Jack Repair's Youtube Channel - you will see half a dozen videos on just that model - and I'm sure he's done hundreds more that were not recorded. I sent my laptop in not too long ago as my charging port had finally gave up after months of slowly losing power.

I originally bought another charger to see if that would help, but that did not fix it. I realized my charging port was broken and I was quoted $400-500 by another guy.

After that I looked up a YouTube video to see how to repair it on your own and came across power jack repair's YouTube channel.

Then I found their site and decided to send my laptop in and we'll.... I was not disappointed!! Seriously it took about a week for the ship in/ship back and it was actually repaired.
