We came up from Frederick county in Maryland for the easter egg hunt (a really nice scenic hour-long drive hour avoiding the highways), which unfortunately due to forecasted rain was "huntless". But ultimately the kids only care about getting the prizes! Each child gets a nice haul of 20 pieces of candy, as well as a prize egg. We want to give a special thanks to Jerry at the prize table, who saved our autistic daughter from having a meltdown by letting her take an extra prize when she couldn't decide which one to pick. Kindness counts for a lot and all the staff here clearly excel in that regard.

The only downside to our visit here was that the face painter was just WAY too slow, and we waited something like 45 minutes in line. Perfectly kind, nice lady, who was great with the kids, but I don't think she realized how many parents in the line were fed up waiting. However, our kids would have been very upset if we'd have walked away at any time so we persevered for their sake. She did a great job of creating a design my daughter specifically asked for, so again the kindness aspect counts for a lot.

When finally done with the face painting we went through the store and picked out some goodies: 6 blocks of fudge for $16, 3 bags of candy for $12, a couple of Pez dispensers (they have a huge selection) for the kids, and a few items from the bargain bin. So far I've tried a little piece of the rocky road, tiger butter, and s'mores fudge and also a chocolate covered oreo: they all taste absolutely amazing, a real treat!

We combined our trip here with an afternoon in Gettysburg, and overall we were able to do enough from 10am to 5pm to keep our young kids entertained the whole time. A great day out, and we will be back next year, if not sooner. Isaac and Nicole, sorry I could not thank you in person as I don't know what you look like, but you're doing...

This was a fun, quick, and whimsical stop on our trip to Gettysburg for my wife and I. It's a very neat personal collection of a man's elephant figurines that were collected over the years and grew and grew as people gifted him more eventually overrunning his property. The yard has a garden full of whimsical figures beyond just elephants from Disney characters to animals and magical trolls, Even a tea house full of magnificent teapots. Inside you were greeted by a huge elephant statue into the right is the little museum area that's a hallway and a room with the walls line floor to ceiling of various elephant memorabilia. There is a huge selection of candy and toys and even nice home decor in the store so you're sure to find something for everybody. Make sure you get some of the chocolate pretzels and fudge. Are only complaint was the young girl who took our order seemed kind I like she would rather have been anywhere else but there and rolled her eyes in annoyance when we just asked if we could order some fudge. All the other employees were...

I read through the reviews here just now and wondered how anyone could rate it lower than a 5. It's a mom and pop shop with a free elephant museum and the coolest garden that changes with the seasons and holidays. Their prices aren't dirt cheap, but the quality of the candy you buy is worth the price. Their homemade items are insanely good- the fudge is literally to die for. It melts in your mouth. I saw one review that said "nothing but sugar." Just curious but what on earth else would you expect? Maybe go in saladworks if you wanted something healthier. Someone complained about long lines. Maybe don't leave the house if a line is too inconvenient. I drive an hour and a half to get here a few times a year and it's always been worth it. The staff is always super nice, offers samples, and are so helpful with questions. Maybe it's just me, but I think these negative reviews need to heal their minds and get a grip on reality. Let your inner child free and enjoy yourself here. Not everything has to be super quick or super cheap or super healthy....

It's not the least expensive, but there's nothing like it for variety and atmosphere.

Mister Ed’s is a great place to visit for both the candy options and the very large collection of elephants inside and out. The outside garden area is a walk through of elephants and other statuary, don’t forget to get your picture with Bigfoot! As you enter the building there is a life sized elephant there to greet you. Along with bins upon bins of candy. Older kinds you don’t see much of up to the new brands. There is also a Pez room that includes anything from Star Wars to minions. Mixed into all the candy is shelves of elephants. There is also a little museum with thousands of elephants. Along with the candies there is also a little fudge shop. They have many flavors of fudge and what they call truffles, these are like the Lindt chocolates and have a great taste to them. Roadside attraction truly describes this place in good way. It’s a must to get your picture taken with the outside elephants. Also grab a bag of candy you haven’t had in years to take home with you. It’s a fun spot for adults and kids alike.
