On the afternoon of Monday August 23rd 2021, my father was at Quail Brook Golf Course driving range when he experienced a critical health crisis. This crisis caused him to collapse and go into cardiac arrest. Tom Russo and Nick Pisani (employees of Quail Brook) saw my father in distress and immediately sprang into action. Without hesitation, they called 911 and rushed to his side and began administering CPR and continued the lifesaving act until the police and first responders arrived on the scene. The quick and selfless act undeniably saved my father's life. The doctors and nurses at Robert Wood Johnson hospital stated that their quick actions kept my father alive and because of that he is being treated and is expected to make a complete recovery. People often throw the word hero around loosely, but Tom Russo and Nick Pisani are the true epitome of the word. I reached out to Tom and Nick to express my gratitude and like true heroes, they are humbly downplaying their actions. In today's fast paced world, a lot of people would have been indifferent to a stranger's problem but not them. These gentlemen are local heroes and they should be recognized for going above and beyond their duties. They did not hesitate to step in and go all out for a person who was in distress. I hope whoever reads this review becomes inspired to help others when in need. Our family is forever...
Read moreHere's my rating explained: 3 stars for the golf course itself (great track, well maintained), 0 stars for the customer service.
Recently I had the absolute displeasure of interacting (read: getting yelled/snapped at) by the rudest golf course employee I've ever met, Grace. (The irony of that name is not lost on me, trust me.)
I have no clue what her problem is or why, but from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a dismissive attitude and Grace acted as if I was a huge inconvenience. Why someone with zero people skills chooses to work in customer service is beyond me. However, here we are.
Dealing with her was like trying to golf with a pool noodle: completely pointless and frustrating. She talked over and belittled me, then raised her voice when I asked her simple questions, and the whole experience really just left me disgusted that the Somerset County Parks Commission would keep someone like her on staff.
I will be returning once, as detailed below, and then never again.
C U Next Tuesday, Grace!
P.S. - Mike H. and the rest of the staff are great. But dealing with Grace is enough to make me avoid Quail Brook for the...
Read moreThe course itself was nice and well maintained.
It was raining when we arrived at the course, but it was still playable.
Starting from the 4th hole, it began pouring down, and we couldn’t even finish the 6th hole, and we had to return to the clubhouse.
I asked the front, "Do you guys release rain checks?"
The old tall white guy with grey hair said, "NO."
I said, "Okay.", to be honest, it didn’t bother me, and I tried to leave.
At that moment, he suddenly said, "YOU drove here to play, right?"
It was like he was saying, 'It's your fault for coming here. You should have predicted the weather,' and he was putting the blame on me.
I wondered why he had to say that to someone who was already leaving with an "okay."
His words were very aggressive, and it made me feel being offended.
He added unnecessary comments, and he could have spoken much more gently.
'Sorry, we don't,' would have been enough.
Of course, it was disappointing that we couldn't finish the game, but I was still in a good mood, but then the guy's attitude ruined everything.
It’s been 10 hours since I left the clubhouse, and I still feel a...
