We went to the Twin Springs Fruit Farm stand at the Sunday Takoma Park Farmers Market, where we bought a lot of apples plus three tomatoes, four onions, a head of garlic and a $4 bag of carrots.
The young girl whom we paid charged us $74.10 and ran our credit card through. We returned a couple of minutes later because we did not understand how we could have been charged $74.10.
We waited until the girl finished with her customer. She rang up our produce again, very fast, and this time came up with $110! On her third and forth tries, she rang up a total of $48, which was, in the end, the correct amount. So she gave us a $26 cash refund and by way of apology she said, "My bad."
