Milwaukee County Sports Complex — Local services in Franklin

The Milwaukee County Sports Complex provides more than most other sites especially given the weather typical of Milwaukee. There are standard outdoor fields available but it is the fieldhouse that is the jewel in the crown.

There is 55,000 square feet of usable space and it can be configured in a variety of ways. For example: an indoor batting cage, a regulation soccer field (or 4, five man teams fields), a regulation basketball court (or two practice courts) and 4 full size volleyball courts.

We were there for a graduation on Sunday June 4, 2017. Temperature outside was in the upper 80's. Temperature inside felt like a million degrees. I graduated with Franklin High School 16 years ago here so this is not their first time hosting a graduation ceremony. I can't believe they didn't have the air condition running or some fans. They had to doors open for ventilation! 2 hours of sweating. Franklin High School should really consider having their ceremony somewhere else...

I come for open gym during the weekdays. It's $2 entry but some days they don't bother collecting.

There is plenty of room for basketball, soccer, and volleyball, but it's first come first serve. So if you're there to do stuff on your own you might run out of room later in the day. There are consistantly guys playing on the basketball courts thought the day.
