We scheduled an event here on November 20,2016. We kept communication between the owner and ourselves. We visited the social club earlier in the week and worked out details for decorating the event. Shook hands and set up a time to come decorate. Then it happened. The DAY of the event at MIDNIGHT we received a TEXT stating we could not have our event as scheduled because a former employee double booked us! No 24 hour notice . Just a text message and a apology. The owner gave us an option to reschedule . Yet the date was made and set for a reason. It's Thanksgiving weekend, and hard working people have schedules as well. Business ethic ? No. Who cancels an event via text message and leaves a paid for party with 50 patrons stranded . Sadly our event suffered because of the unethical behavior forced upon us. People were confused and told that we had cancelled and rescheduled our event . We actually had to move it to someones home . Sadly, we figured someone came in with more money and he took what they had to offer over what we had already paid out. We will continue to spread the word ....

As a mature group of two stepping, Chicago steppers and Dallas swing out dancers. It's difficult for us to find a nice venue to dance in. Most of the venues are either not large enough to accommodate us, they are very old and grungy and outdated and not very pleasing. And the crowd is usually much younger than we prefer to hang out with. The music is not suitable to our dance style. We have all sorts of obstacles to overcome, but We approached the owners here and they opened up on a day that they are normally closed in order to accommodate us. Lovely venue, we love this place, and the dance community very much enjoys going here and appreciate the warm reception...
