It was time to replace the soft top for our 2016 Wrangler. Dealing with the zipper for the rear window as well as the noise was getting challenging. After looking at multiple soft top options, we landed on Bulldawg's site and considered a hard top.

From the first phone call to them to the purchase and installation to support, it's been an outstanding experience. My first phone call was to gather some information. Erin was my point-of-contact. I found her to be knowledgable and responsive. When we decided to purchase, we wanted to drive the 3-1/2 hours to Chattanooga to have them install the top. Erin sent a Paypal invoice that made payment easy.

We were set to have the installation done on Friday, July 5. Erin called a few days before to tell us that the shop was choosing to close on July 5 but will be working on July 4. When I confirmed we could be there on the 4th, they were flexible on timing. We were at the shop less than an hour, during which time we visited with Erin and two dogs.

The noise reduction was a welcome change! The look of the top changed the look of the Jeep. It's a gorgeous top and perfectly matches the rhino lining we have on the fenders and bumpers. We love having the sliding windows in the back that will make the ride great for our dog.

A few days after the installation, I noticed that the right side of the rear window was not latching. Upon inspection, one of the bolts holding on the bar the latch clasps to was stripped and loose. A phone call to Erin and we had a solution -- I'd go get a new bolt and replace it. The next day, I found that my local hardware store didn't have the exact bolt I needed. I contacted Erin asking for the exact size of the bolt so I could go buy it. The response was that Erin is mailing me four new bolts that will fix the problem. This is how customer service should be. Little problems can happen but it's how they're handling it that makes all the difference.

Mike and his team are fantastic, and I absolutely recommend the hardtops that they manufacture. I purchased a Highlander hardtop with discovery windows for my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sport last October (2023). They were very communicative during the ordering process, the shipping process, and are still answering questions to this day! (I'm in the process of ordering roof rack cross bars). The hardtop was shipped very well, and installation was easy (definitely need at least two people to install it). Fitment was great, I had zero issues getting it to seat correctly on my JK following the instructions provided by Bulldawg.

I've since taken the Jeep with the Highlander installed to multiple offroad/camping excursions and it has been amazing. The discovery windows are great for quickly accessing the back area. I sleep in my Jeep on solo trips and it's nice to be able to open one of those windows in the morning before I'm ready to get out of bed. I did have to put about 2 inches of electrical tape on the drivers side door weather seal (to flatten the weather seal against the body of the Jeep) according to Bulldawg's recommendation, but since then it hasn't leaked a drop. I've driven it through blizzards in Utah and the pouring rain in Joshua Tree's monsoon season and it has held up water tight!

If you're thinking about a hard top, you're making a great choice by going through Bulldawg. The local offroad shop told me "unless you buy OEM, it's never going to fit right". I saw all the positive reviews with Bulldawg and decided to take a chance, and I am so happy with that decision. It fits perfectly, is durable, and is the most functional hard top I could find. They are a quality company full of competent individuals who make a durable and reliable product. They are truly the best looking and strongest hardtops you can find on the market.

After lots of research into different brands of hard tops and upper doors, I took a leap of faith with this company. Erin also answered all of the many questions I had about their product. I must say, the fit and finish for this top is amazing! I went with the Discovery package (pop out back side windows) and a roof rack. I have to say, the pop out window is the handiest thing ever! Inside I went black with white webbing. I was a little worried about the inside being too dark with going black, I don't find that being an issue at all. I was also a little worried about shipping, but that was no issue at all. This top came in very secure to a pallet and very well packaged. It took a couple of my buddies and myself an hour or so to remove the old rag top and install the new hard top. If you're in the market for a new top, give Erin a call.
