Dollar General — Local services in Friendsville

Worse customer service ever!!! On 4-21-2019 around 5:30 A Huge line was gathered due to a register needing a override on a $184.00 card purchase. The employee needed a register override. Manger stood talking on a cordless phone ignoring the front desk.When the employee requested for what I can only assume but figured would be better trained manager the gentleman manager promptly replied he was busy and made us Waite longer finally the employee had to leave the counter and go get him and bring him to the front to get help. After multiple attempts trying to figure it out they finally corrected the problem. All this was in a time spam of around 20 min.I would like to say this is Due to Glenda the regular Manager being on Vacation but unfortunately and sadly this is not the case. We have been going to this Dollar general since it opened it's doors and it has had staffing issues ever since. Seems like now days all the staff is doing is always stocking and half the time no one is at the front counter to check anyone out they are also stocking. Seems like The Managers are always busy busy watching video for would be shoplifters. Well what they should be watching is the front door because there money is walking out the front door in discuss due to stocking carts all in the shopping paths no customer service. Having to Waite to check out and last but not least every one being treated like shop lifters. I litteraly watch the staff at times following people like detectives watching people checking the shelves behind the customer for discarded packaging which is absolutely obsured. One Lady who is also a Manager knows us well been there ever since the store opened went as far as to bend over the buggy and looked into my wife's purse. This kind of behavior will eventually drive Everyone away. We do 80% of our shopping there in hopes that the store will stay due to convince and spend a great deal of money there weekly but we are to the point now where it has gotten so bad we only go there if we have to and also to the point where we hope it will shut down because it has become a circus and seems to us it has gotten so out of control no one truly knows what's going on. This at one time was a great store and probably the best in Blount county. But seems now They are just doing what is nesseary to make it day to day. Hopefully the right people will see this and come clean up the store retrain the employees replace management if nesseary and save this store. But I believe the S.O.S signal has been sent there is no life boats left and this ship is now gonna sink.

This location cannot keep people and I feel for the employees. Several times I've waited 5 min or more just to see an employee help me check out.(I started to wonder if anyone was working while standing there) The place had to shut down the other day because they only had one employee.

Now they want to build another location just a few miles up the road? What is going on with this Dollar General take over? People, do we really want/need another one of these shell of a building on our streets? They are not even competitive, prices are exploitive of the relation to...

Place was clean but the cashier was very dismissive and aloof; as me and my gf walked up to the cash register he walks away, says nothing, drops something as he was walking away and kicks in the direction he was walking. Needless to say extremely rude, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. Not sure what his name was but he was tall, with long hair and have seen him work at other doller general stores locally. Next time I see him working in one I intended to ask him which one's he works at so I know not to bother going in...
