Ok where to start. Hm well they seemed nice and I was looking forward to boarding my dog here for a business trip I was taking. I got my initial paperwork done. It’s literally like a crazy thorough amount of information they request. Some would say it’s a good idea, others would say it’s a bit of overkill. Then before they board the dog they want to do an evaluation of the animal. Ok? I get that. The thing is they want 50$ for that meeting and it does not go towards boarding fees. When I asked why they charged the fee , I was told that people bring their dog in to the facility and never come back or never had any intentions of doing so “ because their place is so great and the people just don’t have the money.” Wow, you are the perfect example of ignorant, snobbish, and straight up discrimination. I do not agree with your mindset or you’re business practices. How is a dog coming in for an evaluation considered to be such a great time for the k9 and owners that they would take the time to fill out 15 Min of paperwork to come for the evaluation and never come back? It’s just strange to me. As far as the other explanation about “ our staff has to take time to do the evaluation and that’s using our resources “ I feel that either you’re understaffed which is a problem, or you’re being greedy and that is also a problem. Hank has been going to Friendsville Animal Center for a while now and he certainly loves it! Hank runs around during playtime with a giant smile on his face which we get to see on his report card which comes via email everyday showing him playing in several different play areas. The facility is very secure, the dog accommodations are very tidy and organized. There are various play areas for the dogs to run around in with each other. He is well supervised while he is playing. We also enlist Shelly to provide a haircut and shampoo the day we pick him up so he is clean and fresh when he comes home. Hank loves going there, he knows as soon as we pull his blanket out of his crate that he is going to doggy Disneyland and leaps into the car! We have left Hank there for short weekends and longer 2 week stays. He is happy and cheerful when we pick him up, I doubt he misses us at all! Then, when he gets home he sleeps for day! So much...
