Chicopee Woods is by far my favorite course to play in the Gainesville / North Georgia area. My experience here has always been top notch. The beauty of the course greets you as soon as you turn into the driveway which provides a bag drop area and generous parking. The Chicopee Woods clubhouse has a nice restaurant and well-run pro shop with Keith and team doing a first-class job. I have also been impressed that they keep things moving with multiple registers and a great computer system that sends you email confirmations with your tee times. You will not find a practice complex anywhere that can match what Chicopee offers with a full driving range (hit off grass), chipping green, putting green, and an elevated green to work on your pitching and sand game. The 27 hole course (School, Village, and Mill) is beautiful and challenging as well. The fairways are open and playable, but what will really be welcome to most golfers are the beautiful views and no houses backing up to the course. The condition of the course has always been above par when I have played there and the starter, rangers, and the rest of the staff is always friendly and courteous. One of our favorite perks of the course is the drink cart lady, Nicole, who not only makes her way around the course frequently to bring you cold drinks on the hot days, but she also has cold ice towels when the heat peaks! ...

You can even take advantage of the Twight light rates that starts around 2pm. You'll find 3 of the "BEST" 9 holes courses around in my opinion. Read moreUpdate- I have been playing chicopee woulds for almost 8 years. There was a time this was one of my favorite courses to play. However times have changed. It used to be I could go play chicopee 35 dollars and now it cost almost 80 for a course that spray paints greens. At this point you should check out some higher end clubs right down the road. I still love chicopee but as a veteran golfer of this area It disappoints me to see this. If this was a higher quality private course I wouldn’t see a problem but its public, not the best kept, and it seems a little price gouging.
"Idk its fine"-My girlfriend For my significant other to say anything positive about golf it must be really good. I took her out to teach her at her own accord. It's cheap and good quality golf. You dont pay insane rates for any form of golf whether it be range or on the course. From time to time they will have tournaments. They are also very active in the school community offering to host the hall county championship and other tournaments. I'm a golf nut and this is a great place to come for a nice game or relaxation. If you come right at six thirty to just hit at the range the sun hits it just right. You feel warmth and a cool breeze that Carrie's your ball right down the middle. It's very zen...
