Have always had a great experience at McCoys in Gainesville Texas but today I encountered the rudest employee. I purchased several sewer pipes after purchasing one earlier in the day. The employee, Karla M. Without any greeting told me the bar code would not scan before even trying. I told her it scanned earlier when I purchased one. She said something like “whatever” and did not try to scan the code. She looked up something on the computer and rang the rest of my items up. I paid and went to my truck. I double checked the receipt and discovered she charged me for Schedule 40 pipe which is $2.00 a pipe higher than sewer pipe. I returned to the store and told her about the discrepancy. Again, no greeting or acknowledgement, she just looked at the computer screen and told me that unless it was black lined pipe the price was correct. I walked back to the pipe rack and took a photo of the store tag that showed it was simple sewer pipe, not schedule 40 pipe or black lined pipe. I took it back to her and she glanced at the photo and typed more stuff on the computer and asked for my personal information which I assumed was for the refund of the difference, but she never told me that. After the transaction she asked if I wanted a copy of the new receipt and that was it. No apology for the mistake, no apology for me having to go back in the store. Not even a thank you when I left. I walked in and was the only customer. 4 sales associates watched or ignored me as I walked up and down the aisles looking at windows. I finally had one come up and ask " did you find everything ok" By this time I was a bit pissed but I just said " no" Do you have any vinyl windows? From there on, it was like pulling teeth. After asking 4 times about the best windows, I finally said, " Do you want to sell me some windows? Please don't make me work for this sale, I'm the customer. " THe guy was clueless. Bad enough I had to pull answers from this guy and never did get a price or delivery day. What the hell is up with the question " Did you find everything ok" I wasn't fu@$ing looking for everything . HORRRIBLE customer service. Drove 20min to pick up materials a "team member" confirmed over the phone only to get there find out they had NONE of what I drove to pick up and only had different sizes. When I informed them of the issue, they didn't even offer an apology they tried to say I asked for the wrong thing. Uh! NO! You didn't actually Walk back to see if the item was there or it was right. I ended up buying another part there and the cashier told me this team member does that stuff all the time, and noone says nothing to her....confirmed I had a legitimate complaint and she lied to cover up her mistake. Ridiculous....I wont be back. I'll just spend my $$ at Lowes or Home Depot....definitely gone down him with the mgmt there compared to a few years back. Hard pass. I...
