Terrible customer service. The cashier that was closing on Sunday, Sept 18th was unhelpful and rude. He was hesitant to let me test a small lamp, and when he agreed to it, he untrustingly took it from my hands to do it himself. As he announced closing, he added rather rudely that he wanted everyone to hurry up and leave so he could get home early. When my friend went to check out for some plastic folders and a timed power switch (which were in near relic condition), she asked if he could do $5 or $6 for the whole thing and he said "Whoa, skipping a couple steps there" in an impolite tone. Not sure what he meant by that, but he sounded annoyed. When I checked out, I also had a small lamp, which I had decided not to buy. He cut me off mid-sentence as I was asking what to do with it and said "You put it back." I was shocked and asked him if there wasn't somewhere behind the counter since I had gotten it from outside, but he just got more insistent and sort of hostile, saying "You're going outside, why don't you just put it back where it was out there when you leave?" That was the first time I've been bullied since...
Read moreIm sorry but the lady at the desk today does not know how to price vintage items. One i saw some very nice steak knives from England she looked them up an said oh sets of knives are listed at 200.00. First u have too see how long they have been posted an 2 if anyone is bidding on them. At the store there was probably 12 of then. She said i will price them $10 each. I was like know way, way too high. Second i found some lapel pins, kinda small an said 1990 an up on them, she said well $3 each i said no thank you. I explained to her single ones on ebay that are $3 are usually in the 1940/1950 and many times you can find a lot of 30 listed for $30 bucks. I feel like seeing how this place is like a big junk sale prices would be much lower. Plus you have to search very hard to find odds an ends. The people were extremely friendly an helpful i just hope they would have...
Read moreUsed to be a great place but honestly a lot has changed. The staff will literally just have a conversation and completely ignore you while you're standing at the counter. When one Does deem to notice you, like this one lady I asked a question of the other day, apparently being polite or actually helpful in dealing with a customer isn't one of the goals any longer? It's been something I have noticed the last 3 or 4 visits there - I have be a patron there for years....but after recent experiences I will literally never step foot in The Repurpose Project again. I can go to the flea market in Waldo to find used items for crafts and Not leave feeling like I have been insulted or belittled by asking a question or wanting to pay...
