Republic Services Galena Transfer Station — Local services in Galena

This is the company that provides trash services in our area. And I really am tired of their service (or lack there of). We have been able to schedule extra pick-ups in the past, and when we did, they almost always never came. However, we filled our bins, and when we called, we were just informed that they are not allowed to do extra pick ups in the Joplin, Airport Drive areas. And they suggested they could drop off an extra bin for us and then when they do trash pick up next week they would take one with them. So they can drive by to drop off a bin (which I know we would have issues with...I'll get to that), but not to empty the bins we have? In the past when we went from one to two bins, it took them two weeks to get it right. They left an extra bin, which gave us two, and then randomly through the week they left a third bin, which we didn't ask for. And when we called to have the third bin picked up they took two bins, and we had to call to have one brought back. I really don't care for this company and their services. We have used Republic Services since opening our business, Joplin Stoneworks. Currently we have a 6 yard commercial dumpster that is serviced once a week. 1st of all our dumpster was delivered EXACTLY where I requested it and I wasn't even on site when it was delivered - that is something that sticks with you on GREAT service! 2nd our driver Jeremy is beyond incredible, friendly and always goes above and beyond! 3rd our sales rep, Jeanne, checks in with us to make sure THEY are meeting OUR expectations (WHAT??!!), how incredible is that? Who does that??? I have never had service like that before, let alone with a trash company! 4th they always call when they are delayed due to holidays or inclement weather - which is much appreciated. I'm impressed they consider the safety of not only their driver and equipment, but also others on the road, as well as us as a business - determining whether or not it's safe to dump to decrease the risk of damaging anything on site. 5th they are USA all the way! American owned! We need more companies like...

This review is for the services received by the company and customer service for the month of 12/22 and so far 01/23. Week before Christmas it snowed, so no pick up. By the following Friday we had garbage blowing all over the street due to a week of Christmas garbage on top of a week missed. Trucks came, but missed our street. I had to wait until Monday to talk to anyone, and was told they had scheduled a new pickup for the next day (Tuesday). Tuesday happened and no trucks came. I call and there is no explanation given besides it’s being escalated and someone will call me. I get put to billing to see about a credit since we’ve now missed 2 pickups apart from the 3rd weather related missed pickup. We have nowhere to put our garbage and it‘s literally overflowing onto our street at this point. I was givin an $11 credit for the 2 missed day that weren’t weather related. A little over $5/missed pickup. I pay $228 a month. That does not add up. I’m super disappointed and if there were another option for garbage in our area, I’d definitely...
