Great course, getting better and better.... I play this course often. Back in late July I was in a foursome on an awesome weather day. Friday. After our round, we sat at the huge bar for a much needed IPA...There was a wedding reception happening all around us. A man in suit walked up to the four of us and asked how the round was....We let him know the course was in great shape and very fair...greens were perfect. He asked about drink cart service in which I said it was ok. We saw her once. He was not happy about that. I said it was ok, maybe she was busy...he was still not satisfiedā¦.pulled out his phone and asked if we wanted to come back to play another round....we were like....of course. He made it happen. A free round of golf for our foursome. August 4th. The man in the suit was the general manager, Kevin McCarty. We thanked him for his nice gesture...he did not have to do that. What impressed me the most was the fact that despite a packed bar, wedding reception, and other responsibilities to attend to, he walked up to 4 golfers to ask how the experience was....that says a lot about his character and his vision of Vineyard National... Thanks...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI highly recommend that folks do not play here. My boyfriend and I travel to many different golf courses around the nation but this one failed miserably. Grass was not maintained at all. Sandy fairways everywhere and the green had very rough grasses that the balls do not roll well at all. The ranger just sent out everybody back to back so we were stuck with slow pokes in front of us and impatient bunch behind who were rushing us. Then there was a wedding photo shoot in the middle of the Friday prime golf time. We skipped two holes (7 and 8) 'cause they were right next to the greens doing the photo shoot. Nobody was controlling the traffic and pacing players out while the bride and groom+maids and camera crew drove the carts around everywhere. 18th hole doesn't even have the 18th hole sign. It was a literally a Wild Wild West.
We considered this place for my boy friend's 60th birthday mencave golf get away with his friends. Glad we tried out. If we brought his friends here, my BF would be hugely embarrassed.
They just don't manage/take care of the course. NOT WORTH THE EXPENSIVE GREEN FEES...
Read morePlayed a round of Golf on Sunday the 28th to celebrate my nephews 30th birthday . We were immediately met by Steve Bell and other staff to help us get our clubs and gear to our waiting carts and helped us with a quick rundown of course rules before starting our play . Course is in great condition and very fun to play. Cart Girl was on point with the soft drinks !! We were greeted a few times by staff while on the course to make sure our needs were being met. Upon returning to the club house after our game we were met by staff once again to assist with removing our clubs and making sure we left nothing behind as in one of the gentleman playing in our foursome left his wedding ring in his cup holder !! Big save there !! 𤣠All said treat yourselves to a great day of golf with the professional staff at Vineyard national golf club!!!...
