This park is pretty nice and the employees we dealt with are friendly, but we had a bad experience with Melissa, the owner (read below for the details), but overall we still recommend the park. The pool looks nice, but isn't heated. There is a very nice clean playground with a large chess set to play, and an eating area where they make BBQ a few nights a week which is good, but a bit pricey for what it is. The sites are pretty large and navigation through the park is easy. There is an enclosed dog park as well, though it still has a hole in the middle that another reviewer mentioned. They do have WiFi but as with most campground WiFi systems, it's very slow at about 1Mbps. TMobile and AT&T data performance here is very poor as well. The park is directly under the flight path for the local airport so you will have airplanes flying directly overhead, and there is train traffic across the road, but not crazy loud. Be aware of thorns along the south fence line which can stick in your dogs feet. Also in our site and the ones around us at least, the sewer connections are such that the threads are too far down for your hose / elbow to screw into, which could potentially cause an issue. The laundry was usable but a couple of machines were out of order and the dryers took forever to dry, but were only 75 cents.

When we checked in, I didn't immediately notice that we were charged $306 for our 5 night stay instead of the $250 that we were quoted months earlier by phone by Mike when we made the reservation. I pulled up their web site later to check the prices and saw that 5 nights should be $230.15 with Good Sam discount and the extra person fee for our 2 kids (don't get me started on how ridiculous it is to add a surcharge for more than 2 people) Melissa seemed a bit upset that I brought up the web site, and she stated flat out that they do not honor the prices on the web site, as they charge extra during certain times of the year. While the web site states "Reservations and pricing for events available ONLY by phone" it does not list any dates for events, so you are at their mercy as to when they feel like charging you more. Still, I told her I was fine with paying the $250 that we were originally quoted by Mike over the phone, and when I mentioned that I had the recording of the phone call if she wanted to listen to it, she turned red and asked me to step to the side, then she checked in another customer and told me "I'll be back to deal with you - I'll probably just refund the whole amount" and I replied "oh that's not necessary, we just want to pay what we were quoted" and she ran out the door. The other worker there said "She's the owner, she's probably going to kick you out." Kick us out for asking to pay what we were quoted? Fortunately, when she returned, she had calmed down somewhat and she refunded us $53 which was close enough to the $250 we were quoted that I was okay with that. About a half hour after the incident, she found me and, to her credit, she did apologize. In my opinion, they should either list the dates when surcharges apply on the website for everyone to see, or better yet, use an online reservation system that can simply quote the appropriate price for that date range. I'm going to chalk up our bad experience to Melissa having a bad day, but she almost turned what should have been a simple check-in billing correction into a...

John, the owner was so nice, from our phone call an hour away til when we came in late at night! very accommodating, very nice facility, very clean, many activities but didn't stay long enough to enjoy them-just there overnight. THE BEST DOG PARK I'VE SEEN! Large, enclosed block walls painted a rust color, perfect match for the surrounding landscape. Plenty of room to run and play--we have 2 labs and a beagle terrier and there would have been tons of room for more. Very clean, small size gravel that was perfect for dog paws, and three beautiful dog carvings accented the entrance--such a lovely touch and amazing workmanship! A fire hydrant for the dogs, a bench for the owners, and a tree that would provide ample shade when in leaf. The park has asphalt drives and gravel camping sites with picnic tables resting on decorative patio blocks. Ample covered trash receptacles surrounded by decorative boxes. just a lovely place and a real labor of love for the owner. wish we were there when it was warmer--would definitely stop again! oh, and very reasonable rates! less than $40 (with senior dsct-age 60, in our case) for our RV site, electric, sewer, water and free wifi! We didn't use shower houses or restrooms but would bet they are as nice as everything else. John, we wish you well and much success! Thanks so much for a safe and pleasant stay--our beacon of light in the dark! (Others commented on the planes--I actually enjoyed them--really not a...

During check-in we were assigned to pull-through full hookup site #52. Upon arrival we immediately noticed a strong smell of urine and feces. My guess is that the next door neighbors were allowing their large dogs to do their business there instead of walking them to the dog park. It was disappointing that the campground didn't inspect the site first. I called the office and they immediately let us move to site #43. This was actually a free upgrade as it included 50 amp. Thanks team for the great service! Our gravel site was level and comfortable. Sites are very close together so you will definitely get to know your neighbors. Didn't try the onsite bathrooms and showers. Loud trains run periodically but we've experienced worse in other campgrounds. The Gallup municipal airport is about 2 miles away. A fair number of loud low-flying aircraft buzzed overhead during our 1 week stay. Gallup has an excellent visitor center. Employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. The cultural center located next door is also highly recommended. Excellent exhibits on the Navajo code talkers and other local persons of interest. I would also like to thank front desk staff member Melissa for referring us to a local company called "Welding by Dale LLC." Dale came out to fix a broken bracket on our tow car. Very reasonable prices and he...
