Sea Isle Supermarket — Local services in Galveston

Convenient if you’re in sea isle. Very Expensive. My last night in Sea Isle we went down to the store for some food for my daughter. As I pulled up, the brunette lady that works evenings was closing and walking to her car. As she passes me, we greet her and she responds with a very rude glare. When she passes me, she turns and discharges her taser at my family and says “yup, it’s a taser!”.

I took video once I knew it was a weapon that she was brandishing at my family. I might add the video but I haven’t decided if we should contact police first.

I understand trying to protect yourself in the dark against drunk men or groups of people. But we were a family, there were kids around. We were nothing but friendly and we spent $500+ at your establishment. You saw us come in with our kids several times during my stay.

Also, as someone that has done martial arts for several years, don’t show your close up weapon. Stop waving something that you can only use at arm length from a large distance. If there were some sort of altercation, the surprise of a taser is going to be what gives you an advantage. A grown man wanting to attack a little woman a going to get your weapon… Be smarter, stop threatening families for no reason..

For being as remote as they are, and having a somewhat captive audience, they do the good things and stock a wide variety of what you would expect. The store is tight due to the heavy inventory in a small, dark space. The product selection is good and there are certainly favs like a good selection of Blue Bell. Need bait, breakfast, snacks, sand castle building tools, or charcoal? For these and many other needs this place exists, stocks it shelves, and does not try to take advantage in their prices. This weekend was my sons prom. At the last minute the chaperones had a family emergency and were unable to go. I stepped in with my aunt and we headed to Galveston to help! The kids had a list of requested foods and this store had anything!!! The owners are so nice, helpful and friendly! We went there three times this weekend. They have everything! Fresh produce, wine for the adults, firewood for s’mores. I will definitely be back to this beach and...
