They responded with this: If this is a true statement, don’t you think it would be something that you should bring up to the owner? Instead of trying to slander a business?

My reply(updated post):

For reference, the definition of Slander is a "crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation." Being that I am making 100% factual statements, this is not slander by definition. I am sincere and honest, within 30 minutes of eating here I truly became very very ill with terrible diarrhea multiple times and felt very sick.

You may not like the comments, and I personally would not like someone saying these things to me, I would be upset, but am I sharing my actual experience. I would also feel bad knowing that I caused someone to become so violently ill that they posted this as a warning to others as to not suffer in the same manner. I went to eat at Whistle Stop based on a friends suggestion and I aligned my travels to go a little out of my way for your Broasted Chicken. I would suggest revisiting safe food handling procedures; potentially an outside independent inspection and your customer service could...

I like the whistle stop because it is in our small town of lake where I grew up. I enjoy supporting small businesses. Usually I have a great experience there but this time wasn't the case. I decided to pick up food for dinner for myself my husband and my daughter it came out to $38 and some change which seemed fair for this day and age, BUT when I received my food I was a little disappointed my daughter ordered cheese fries and the portion was so small and it was almost five bucks! Not to mention when I first walked in I had to stand at the counter for almost 10 minutes because the young lady who took my order was on her cell phone texting. When she finally noticed me she put her phone down and said "I am so sorry about that". You should not be on your phone at work especially when customers are present. I love this place but I think the staff need some training on customer service. I am willing to give it another shot of course but I'm hoping our next experience is a little better. We ordered there today... roughly about an hour ago and I will say this, the fries were AMAZING, I could literally eat an entire bucket of them. The onion rings were delicious, and the chicken was full of flavor and very juicy. However, I was anxious for the coleslaw and it was horrible. Me being a huge fan of coleslaw I was anticipating a good slaw being that chicken and coleslaw go hand and hand, it was sour, had very little dressing or was spoiled but it was very disappointing. The roll that came with our dinner was not only hard but it taste like a cardboard box. The staff was very polite and inviting however they seemed very lifeless perhaps it's because its miserably hot inside the store itself. I think it was cooler outside then it was inside.
