We go every year to make cider and sometimes pick apples. Making cider takes about an hour and costs about $7.50/gallon. It's a fun process and you end up with the best cider. The cider varies from year to year since the apples themselves do. The orchard caters one or two varieties of apples, and you get to decide how much of each you want. This year was all Macintosh apples for the cider (but that changes throughout the season), and it was very good cider. Picking apples is a fun family time that is very inexpensive. we wandered around for an hour trying different apples and picking a few that we liked here and there. We even used the long-pole picking tool to get some pairs. When all was said and done we left with 4 lb of fruit, and 2 gallons of cider. We paid $17 total for that and the entertainment. Good deal.

You'll want to bring more gallons than you expect. Even the big 5s would be a good idea. We brought 7 gallons and they were full in 30 minutes, 15 of those were competed by kiddos. Apples are $0.50/lb you pick.

Just had my first visit to this wonderful place, and I can't wait to go again next year! The apples are delicious and the folks there are so friendly, you couldn't ask for a better time! Next time I'll try out their cider and see if they've got any honey! If you believe in supporting small, local agriculture and you like fall fruit this is the...
