Bear Run Cabin — Local services in Gatlinburg

Fantastically decorated and well maintained bear themed cabins. We felt very comfortable and safe here. Extremely clean and well stocked. Beautiful solid wood furniture. Huge jet tub in master. Great jacuzzi outside on deck! Rocking chairs on back porch. We filled half a tank of propane and grilled several nights instead of driving to expensive touristy restaurants. Even though there are several cabins in the vicinity, it felt private and quiet. Highly recommend a stay here.

Only issue I had was the thermal expansion and contraction and wind on the metal roof which creates all kinds of noises that sounds like someone's walking on it. I've lived in houses with metal roofs and none were this bad. I believe it's happening for several reasons: ceilings are vaulted w/ little to no insulation, perhaps no or too little underlayment used, and not enough wind bracing. It's mostly during morning and evening and when changing thermostat, so very likely expansion and contraction and not as much wind. Possible fixes include timber screws instead of nails, added insulation layer from inside, additional trusses or braces to help roof move as one solid piece. Insulation will also help with temperature differential between upper and lower floors. I understand the desire to keep ceilings vaulted and bare, but even a 1 ft insulated barrier would likely help and could still be wood paneled. Great Cabin, enjoyed the time here and was wonderful to spend time with my family in the hot tub and play video games and pool upstairs, we did have a pretty large inexperience that I would hope to get solved over email. My mother had ended up losing a ring that was very important to her and was hoping to get it back, with no such luck however. We tried to contact the owners and cleaning company and were able to get a response however they were unable to find it.

UPDATE: After only a week we were contacted by the owners that they were able to find the ring! This was tremendously helpful because it was very important to us and the fact that they were able to find it in the end, just gives us the much needed help that we needed. In the end, they are a 5/5 cabin and deserve to be visited by everyone who wants a good experience...

We stayed here dec. 18th for a few days. Place was great! From relaxing in the hot tub to taking a bath in the Jacuzzi at night. So much to do in Gatlinburg and the cabin is so close (like 6 mins). Bed was very comfortable and it was just really cozy as we had the electric fireplace going and watched the big screen.
