Gatlinburg Vacation Cabins — Local services in Gatlinburg

When we decided to return to Gatlinburg and found the cabin we had booked last year was taken for our dates, we were bummed. We were sure we wouldn’t been able to find one as good as that one was... boy, were we happily wrong with The Sweet Escape!

From the moment we walked in, we felt like home! It was so cozy and homey. It was decorated so amazingly well. They didn’t take any cheap shortcuts anywhere in this cabin. The matching wood furniture, decorations and attention to detail was astonishing. Decorated with Bears & Owls-it was decorated exactly how we would our own cabin if we had one. It was even nicely decorated for Christmas!

Everything is labeled so we didn’t have to guess where things were; and let me tell you, they had everything for our use to cook and eat every meal in the cabin. They even had a movie popcorn bucket to watch movies! There was a fan in each bathroom that you could put anywhere in the house. We had brought our own fan for the bedroom for noise at night (there are ceiling fans in the bedroom). The deck was also amazing. This time of year you can see both the sun rise and sunset from it. The hot tub was used every day at any given time and it was perfect as well.

We had one mishap: because my boyfriend booked the cabin, I didn’t know the details said no visitors as it was all in his email. Well, I took it upon myself to book a couples massage for his birthday present that comes to the cabin... that was a no, no. I didn’t tell Tom about it as a surprise till the last minute and he didn’t tell me no visitors until after it was over. If you want this kind of service in your cabin, be sure to ask Angela & Mike first! Although Roger, the massage therapist, had nothing but kind words to say when he asked if Mike & Angela owned it, he probably knew he wasn’t supposed to be there.

Check in and check out was easy and convenient. The cabin was spotless. The sheets, quilts, pillows and bed were comfortable, as was the love seat recliners in the living room. Don’t ask how I found out, but even the floors smelled clean days after we arrived! Ha! Angela was always quick to reply to any messages. The only thing that needs mentioning (wasn’t an issue for us, could be for others) is that you can hear morning traffic on Parkway (hwy 321) and some at night above the fans in the bedroom. We are used to it from being about the same distance from a major highway at our house. We are glad we learned last year not to take a new F250 Super Duty Crew Cab to Gatlinburg again. The road to this cabin would have had to have a lot of three & four point turns on the road to get there around the curves and hope we didn’t back up off a cliff to do so. Haha. We brought our old reliable TDI Jetta instead, which did perfectly fine. We even had snow chains for it in case it snowed as forecasted.

We will definitely not hesitate to recommend The Sweet Escape to friends & family and hope to be able to book another stay next year!!! Mike & Angela have built an amazing ‘Sweet Escape’ from everyday life! Thank you for allowing us to use your cabin for Tom’s Annual...

Listen, I leave a lot of reviews, and they are all honest. So when I tell you that THIS is THE place to rent your cabin from when you come to the gatlinburg/pigeon forge area, you should know I'm not exaggerating. I will NOT come to this area unless I can book one of their cabins for my trip. The cabins are immaculate, private, hospital sterilization level cleanliness with BREATHTAKING views. I travel everywhere, and chose the laurel mountain retreat cabin, second story balcony, to propose to my fiancee. I had a mishap when I booked, my own error, and the owners personally accommodated me within 15 minutes to make sure my trip was flawless, and it was during the busiest season they had ever had, the DAY OF. I cant speak highly enough of the owners, the cabins, or the company. They even called my fiancee to congratulate her. Here's to companies that still remember how to treat their guests, and make them feel right at home. I would give them 10 stars if I could. They have, and will always have, the highest review I can give anyone....

The home is beautiful inside and out and situated near everything you could possibly want on vacation -- the downtown, great restaurants, and all the indoor and outdoor attractions. There is no place that I can tell that would have a better view of the spectacular Smokeys. We are hikers and looked forward to the comfort and quiet of the place after returning from a fun day on the trails. The owners are very attentive to renters' needs and have set the place up to make it easy to live in and enjoy the house and its many amenities. It deserves...
