We've been Sorenson customers since 2000. We've bought televisions, washers and dryers, and refrigerators from them. Two Fridays ago our kitchen refrigerator quit. That next Monday or Tuesday we went to their store to purchase a brand new one. They didn't have our black color in stock so we had to purchase it. We were told it would come in as early as this past Wednesday, but by Thursday for sure. This was fine. We hadn't heard from them by Thursday afternoon so MY husband called around 5:00 to find out where it was. We were expecting a call for a delivery that day. They didn't know much of anything as they hadn't checked on our order status. Kind of like…well if it isn't on the truck, it doesn't prompt them to contact the customer. My husband then had to wait until Friday morning to hear back from them what was going on. Our family has been using a dorm fridge for 2 weeks. Now we wait until possibly next Wednesday to get the fridge we ordered that Sorensons never followed up on. Oh, we’re also getting a $600+ refund because we were overcharged when we paid for it in full when we ordered it over a week ago. Just a clerical error. No biggie. And the lady who helped us buy that day was VERY helpful and kind. What is frustrating is that had my husband never called yesterday to find out where it was, how long would we have been waiting on them? 25 year customers and nobody ever remembers us when we walk in and then this non follow up. We’ll be buying appliances online from now on with delivery because anymore it seems like with anything, customers do all of the leg work anyway. Might as well cut out...
Read morethe guys were out to deliver our new fridge they brought the wrong one and after installing a new water line for the ice maker they found it didn't have one but they could get us one in 3 weeks and we could have a discount on the fridge. so we kept it and have hated it every since.its the wrong size ,its narrow and very deep so deep we can't reach food at the very back of the shelfs. we also needed a new built in oven but couldn't find one that would fit in our opening. but while the fridge guys were here they said they could get us one that would fit he said he had just installed one in another house. we were glad for the news and told them to order it. when the oven came they put it in and it was way to small so they set in on the kitchen floor and said "call a contractor " and left. i finally fixed the opening my self and they came back and put it in except for one wire, he didn't know where it went. it still worries me that the wiring isn't right also after 10 months it broke and we are currently waiting for the guy to come and fix it . it s been 3 weeks they are supposed to be here today but they wouldn't give you a time frame so its 4;00 and were still waiting. i called but only got a message that says there answering machine is full. well its after 5:oo and they never showed up they did call us back and said they have no record of an appointment for us and they dont service our brand of stove which they sold us,this is after the repairman was out and order the parts sent to us .which we have. this is the worst service we have ever experienced. never again. we sat at home all day...
Read moreOur freezer acted up on Labor Day and after weighing our options decided it best to replace it rather than putting as much money into a service call that would tell us it would cost as much to repair as to replace. We checked our local stores in Owatonna but both had deliveries out at 6 to 9 days. We didn’t know if we had that kind of life left in our freezer. We decided to take the little drive to Sorensons where we had purchased the current one as we remembered they could get us one the quickest many years ago, too. Two days later, the old one was hauled away and new one installed by two friendly employees. The sales lady was also great to work with at purchase time and when I had a follow=up question. And their pricing was right in line with the sale spring at Lowe’s and more combative than Karl’s! Plus it is nice to know we are helping keep this small business...
