Dollar General — Local services in German Township

I stopped by here to grab a few things with my 5 year old daughter. While shopping my daughter had to use the restroom. We asked for the key and The Manager Cassie, refused saying "the Chinese restraunt had a public restroom." She also said "Corporate closed the public restroom due to a person overdosing and dying in the bathroom there." I know we are in an opiate epidemic but when a 5 year old girl is about to pee in her pants, I look at that as a character call. What really infuriated me was the whispering she did with customers stating my appearance was undoubtedly that of a drug addict. That sent me over the line. What exactly does a drug addict look like? Like a mom running late with her daughter, having already had a more stressful day than usual? I understand that my heated choice of words did not help the situation. For the record I smoke Weed, Never in a DG bathroom with my children. Thanks Cassie and DG for making a sad situation that happened in your store even more pathetic by taking a Negative approach to an already Negative situation. Hopefully my story helps you practice better Public Relations. Maybe put your bathrooms at the front of the store near the checkout area and Donate to the community programs into the neighborhoods that buy from you. Stop pretending like ignoring community issues doesn't trickle down into taking out of your own pocket. Be pro-active. I wont shop at another DG until that one is less disgusting and more humane. And I tipped the Chinese restraunt owners because we got to use the bathroom and we were not customers. Awesomeness from the China...
