Overall is a great place to swim indoors specially on the winter. Nonetheless here are some areas of opportunity to improve ASAP:
50% of the female showers have been closed for repairs for weeks, maybe months? The other 50% takes “a minute or two” according to the sign to warm up, this results in hundreds+ gallons of water being wasted every single day. Switching from on single knob and/or doing something to make it more efficient may help conserve some water.
There is significant amount of hair debris (even a thin braid) clustered by the bathroom strains) Also, the overall housekeeping higene of the lockers and showers should Be improved, last week I found a rotten dry banana inside the locker shoes compartment At the very back. I place it in a visible spot right on top and after weeks it was still there!
seems like there a sauna but has been broken for weeks and they have a sign about it.
It would be nice if they could add a bathing suit driver device.
Perhaps, give the lack of efficiency in the water showers, there is mostly no general practice of swimmers to rinse before entering the pool. In all other pools I’ve swam this is a public higene general practices, I haven’t seen clear signs here asking swimming to do so. Same with flip flops they are entirely optional! A few tiles on the ceiling in between the pools are out of place and seem broken right by the smoke detectors.
Hope this review helps the county! Feel free to share with MC parks and rec staff or anyone else who can help with the needed...
Read moreStaff is not very accommodating to handicapped people. They have a lot of equipment for disabled people, like a special wheelchair that can go into the water and two wheelchair accessible changing rooms with a full sized changing table, but the staff doesn't even seem to know how to use the poolside chair that can lower the disabled person into the water. This was my families first visit and no one informed us that we needed to get our butts out of the pool, showered, changed and out the door in 20 minutes- kind of difficult to do with a wheelchair bound seizure prone 12 year old. Especially when loads of other people are hogging the handicapped changing rooms (mostly people with younger children of the opposite sex who didn't want their kids in the changing rooms alone- there was a sign on the changing room door stating that children over the age of six needed to use gender appropriate changing rooms). In the process of rushing out we ended up leaving our car key inside the locker room. We turned around to see if anyone was still inside the building 3 minutes later and they were long gone. We ended up having to wait an hour for someone to drop off our spare key so we could go home and give our daughter her seizure meds. I was going to sign my son up for swim classes here but not after that terrible Saturday...
Read moreIt had the potential to be a great place if it weren't for the rude staff. The environment was very hostile. The life guards were yelling at children AND parents. I understand trying to be safe and stern but you don't need to be rude and borderline nasty. The woman at the front desk was also rude. It just was not a friendly environment at all. The pool was dirty. The slides were dirty. But I could over look it for the most part. It wasn't horrible. Despite everything, I was considering having my son's birthday party there because my son and his cousins loved the place so much and I was having fun too. But the straw that broke the camels back was when a child threw up in the pool. It wasn't the child that was the problem but the way it was handled. It was 2pm and the pool wouldn't reopen till 4pm. We drove an hour to get there and were only there for an hour. We weren't able to wait for the pool to reopen 2 hours later because we were planning to head back home at 4. After explaining our situation, we were basically told, "so what." They wouldn't give us a partial refund, a rain check or even an I'm sorry. We were treated poorly from the time we walked in till we left. I would never recommend this place and we won't...
