Osceola Cheese is truly a gem of a road trip stop. Our visit this past Sunday, right after leaving the lake, turned out to be an absolute delight. The combination of the cheese store and the connected gift shop created an experience that we won't soon forget.
Our taste buds were in for a treat as we made our selections. The caramel turtle, sugar-free fudge, and the cheddar/beef stick snack were simply divine. Each bite was a burst of flavor, leaving us with a satisfying and memorable snacking experience.
The array of offerings at Osceola Cheese is nothing short of impressive. The shelves are adorned with a vast assortment of cheeses, meats, sauces, seasonings, chips, popcorn, soda, candy – the list seems endless. The fact that most of these items are locally made added an extra layer of authenticity to our adventure.
Speaking of authenticity, the prices were refreshingly reasonable, making our indulgence all the more enjoyable. The staff at Osceola Cheese proved to be both welcoming and accommodating, creating an atmosphere that's warm and inviting. The constant buzz of activity in the store indicates just how popular and beloved this place is.
As an unexpected bonus, we were able to partake in wine tastings during our visit – a delightful surprise that added another layer of enjoyment to our experience. It's evident that Osceola Cheese goes the extra mile to cater to diverse tastes and preferences.
A highlight that's impossible to miss – the giant mouse statue outside, a perfect photo opportunity that adds a touch of whimsy to the visit. It's these little touches that make the experience at Osceola Cheese so memorable and joyful.

Read moreSaddened by horrible customer service!! I have purchased Osceola cheese for years on road trips. We buy blocks of cheese and meat in bulk. This trip we bought a bunch of cheese and meat. We opened a block of cheese in the parking lot and began eating. This was the worst tasting cheese I’ve ever had in my life! I am confident the cheese had become rancid. The horrible smell had enveloped our car. We barely ate any of it and we had only bought it moments ago. Something needed to be done. I brought it in sharing my experience and was told that there was nothing to be done. I called their office and spoke with a caring lady who tried to transfer me to the decision makers. The woman who did speak to me was obnoxiously rude and compared a “return” to Walmart. If Corporate America is your standard than you have missed what it means to be a small business. America is built on small businesses and caring owners who are willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I experienced none of this from the owners/decision makers! I do not plan on ever shopping...
Read moreThis was the second time in my life I have been to Osceola cheese company and most likely will be the last. It had been quite some time since I was last there. They claim to have 275 types of cheeses. Unfortunately many of those are merely some combinations of herbs and not unique cheeses. So, for example, you might have one type of cheese that featured garlic flavor, garlic and onion flavor, garlic and herb flavor, onion flavor, and so forth. I thought the prices were pretty high on the cheese. They had some cheese that was labeled as aged 10 months. And that was $25 a pound. If that is typical then I have some cheese in my refrigerator that should be worth a fortune by now. I bought some cheese curds and was disappointed in them because they were wet. It appears that it was plain cheese curds to which some herbs had been dumped on them. The result was fairly slimy. No samples were available of any of the cheese. They didn't offer anything that couldn't be found in a good grocery store. It also appears that none of the cheese is...
