Been going to the store for years. My first experience today Ordering egg rolls do not do it!!. They were EXCESSIVELY burnt. They actually think the pork inside is raw and that they have to cook that product until it is burnt When, in fact they came in frozen with precooked pork inside, I did not realize people could be that ignorant.. I asked them to remake them which they did and gave me product That was burnt worse than the first round. Asked for a refund and they shortchanged me. I've been spending a lot of money for a long time at that store on dinner. As I live close by 2 it, the sandwiches were great. I enjoyed dining there, but I will not be returning now. Due to this experience and their lack of tact with handling it, they did nothing to really fix it. And I was just really disappointed with the way it was handled. They will get no more of my money. There are other Amish stores around that are not on the main highway that are considerably cheaper for the same products as well. They take advantage of the fact that they are right along the highway and most people just don't know that these other stores exist. People just do your homework. There are better...
Read moreIf you dont want to wait outrageous times for food dont come here. It's been almost an hour and I'm still waiting on 3 breakfast burritos. People who came in after me have gotten served quicker. The staff was underprepared for the day, no concept of time and either needs retraining or fired and start over from scratch. I'd give zero stars if I could.
Update: Gave it another chance and returned for dinner on 5/30/2024, there was a noticeable improvement except the attitude of the woman in a maroon shirt (I'm assuming she was the manager on duty). She was flat out rude because we didn't know what we wanted within two minutes of looking at the menu; we weren't in the way, this isn't a matter of life and death, I don't know what vexed her prior to my arrival but she shouldn't take it out...
Read moreSeems very ‘corporate Amish’ to me. I was hoping for a more traditional Amish trading post where most items were sourced locally.
I have no doubt that some of the items here were local, but it appears most items here are just distributed through Walnut Creek Foods. I can get that online. Most things were ‘Amish made’, but very much industrialized.
We got a couple burgers and some treats. They were good, but overpriced. I was disappointed.
Seemed like the equivalent of the ‘touristy shops’ in Mexico off the cruise ships where everything is the same in all the shops. I got the feeling it was similar here.
Sure, it’s Amish, but I doubt many of the Amish shop here. I found a great place like that down in Dunnegan with fresh pies and baked goods for a fraction...
