Went to fuel up at the truckstop and was gonna end up going to McDonald's for something to eat and call it a night of driving, but I remember I saw the big tacos sign out front, so without knowing what time they closed I rushed over and got 5 tacos and a quesadilla, maan after a long day of driving that food really hit the spot, the asada tacos are legit, I couldn't finish the quesadilla lol wasn't expecting it to be as big as it was, it was all delicious. Oh and it was like 7:40, when I asked the nice lady if the kitchen was closed, she said no and proceeded to take my order with a smile, now that I checked they closed at 8, she could've easily said the kitchen was closed, I really appreciate that kind of service on top of the great food. Although I haven't tried their whole menu I definitely recommend...

This is a cute gift shop that also houses a small Mexican restaurant/taco stand, and ice cream shop. I saw a few signs for “date shakes” so wanted to try one.

There is enough room for several trucks to stop and have a quick break but I wouldn’t sleep here overnight without at least asking the owner first.

The tacos were really good which I completely expected. The date shake is really good too but more expensive than I would have guessed. ($8) but the tacos were more than fair ($2 each) and were served with cucumber, radish and spicy carrot.

The red sauce is much spicier...

If you tired from driving on the road take a little break and have a ice cream cone from the Thrifty classic ice cream little shop located inside of this souvenir store! 👍😎 and if that's not an option go for the delicious tacos they make from hand made tortillas!😋 For those who have a cruda 🍺 "hangover"😁 get there awesome plate of menudo during and if passing thru the weekend. 👍yoooo!!
